Editorial Reviews

Review

''While reading Walking with Justice, you might discover as I did that you have found another mentor: Judge Rosenn himself. Fortunately for us, his protege has done such a beautiful job of relating the lessons she learned from Judge that you ll be able to determine your best course of action in any given situation by referring back to the book you hold in your hands. If you have any question regarding how to live a good, productive, and righteous life, the answer lies somewhere in these pages. In fact, I would go so far as to say that Dr. Mollie has written a timeless handbook for being human.'' --Bob Burg, international bestselling coauthor of The Go-Giver

''As a teacher, Judge Rosenn was patient, kind, and precise. As a jurist he was fair, compassionate and principal. As family, he was warm, caring and devoted. Decades after finishing my clerkship, I keep a picture of Judge on my desk. It reminds me of the way people are suppose to live.'' --Richard Gelfond, CEO, IMAX Corporation

''Many thanks to Mollie Marti for bringing the story of her mentor and friend, Judge Max Rosenn, to a larger audience. He set a high standard for what it is to be a just and compassionate human being. We can all learn from his sterling example.'' --Daniel H. Pink, NY Times bestselling author of DRIVE and A Whole New Mind

Learn from a woman with a brilliant mind and a compassionate heart as she shares the wisdom that her mentor, Judge Max Rosenn, instilled in her and countless others and you too can shape your legacy with the loving choices that you make every day.

Although Mollie Marti, J.D., Ph.D., has impressive credentials, the lessons from Judge Rosenn provided the necessary guidance to live a life with meaning, and the good news is that all of us can forge our own destinies with these timeless ideas.

Perhaps, you too will feel the call and realize your potential. What if you were to accept the challenge and learn from Mollie and Judge Rosenn? How would that impact the people in your life?

Read this book. Read it again...and again...and take action. Give it to those you love, and see what a difference it makes. Your life may never be the same!

Walking with Justice is a magical book that somehow makes small deposits in your heart with the turn of each page. This true story reads with the ease of the best light fiction books I've ever read.

Its depth comes from the wisdom of a man who stands as one of the greatest legal minds in our American history. Its simplicity comes from this same great man who wrote lessons upon his student's heart with the ink of love.

Before reading this book, I saw reviews saying that walking the path in this book with Mollie and her mentor would forever change readers. Given that I'm familiar with Mollie's work, I didn't know if this would be true for me. It was. You cannot help but be changed by a story that leads so powerfully to its seemingly inevitable conclusion that love is and always will be the most powerful force in the world.

Walking with Justice first left me with the question: how does one find that tremendous balance to life that creates so much beauty!?! It's there and I deeply care to find it for myself and help others find it and celebrate it.

Over the course of the week since finishing it, the answer has come to me. Mollie illustrates through circumstances of Judge Rosenn, herself, colleagues, and Judges family that life isn't simply about winning or being perfect but becoming. If we are becoming we're always a winner whether the 'scoreboard' says it or not. As a Federal Justice, family man, friend, mentor, etc., Judge allowed those around him and himself to become. He was extra ordinary at allowing every moment to be about the process of becoming in the highest good of each individual and their communities.

Well, where do I start. I just finished reading "Walking with Justice". It is a beautiful love story. I started reading planning on finishing over the next week and while I had other things on my agenda today, I felt I had to continue reading and finish it right away. By some quirk of fate the story of Judge Rosenn made its way into my life at a time that I really needed to read about a man who lived a self-actualized life. The Judge's story really reached me and helped to restore my faith in powerful people considering what is happening in our country at this time. We need many, many more people like Judge Rosenn.

I really like how the author used the words of the Judge's eulogy to begin each chapter. It flowed beautifully from there and I really do feel like I know the man. It must have been wonderful to have been able to have him for a mentor and life model.

I think the book will impact people many different ways. That's true of all books to an extent but I think there will be many people who will find hope that there are other people like Judge Rosenn and that they will have the kind of impact on the world that the Judge obviously did for so many both in his lifetime. Thank you to the author Mollie Marti for sharing Judge Max Rosenn's story.

Had the privilege of beginning with a "preview" electronic copy of Walking With Justice - and now that I see the hardback is
available here online, have immediately purchased it. This is a book that's beautiful both in content and in layout -- and rich in character and timeless principles that I want my whole family to learn from and enjoy. It's like the spirit and character of Judge Rosenn have come alive through Dr. Mollie's words and are now able to touch those of us who didn't have the privilege of knowing him directly. His example of being fully present to people has already come to mind and impacted my interactions with people -- beginning with my family -- during the day. Thank you for writing this book!

I give this book high praise. Mollie Marti has drawn a fine portrait of the man, Judge Max Rosenn, both as a judge and as a much admired human being. From her stories she gives the reader many excellent ideas about how to live a good life. Judge Rosenn's quote, "Wherever I go, wherever I am, I am in love," is profound, especially with Dr. Marti's explanation of how this way of thinking affected her own life. Her description of a serious illness and how she was able to recover and thrive is very moving. It will be an inspiration for many lives.

From the Author's Note - first paragraph to be exact - I was captivated. As the pages unfold, I feel my heart rearranging itself as if to make more room for this beautiful story and the wisdom it holds. It is profound. Beautifully told. As I close the book, my heart is full. To say this extraordinary life had purpose is not enough. Judge's purpose and legacy lives on. Mollie, you've given all of us a precious gift with this book. Thank you for sharing this story. I will never be the same.
