2.0 out of 5 stars a document, sure....
A very energetic performance, no question. And good material. But -- near bootleg sound quality and a release that only profits Johnny Winter's now-despised former manager Roy C. Ames.

This is A good Representation of what Winter is all about . Blues and Blues rock. Moter Eath is an awsome Slow blues , where he plays about every lick that can be played on a guitar .

One of the things about this album you'll knowtice is the songs are played Faster than Studio recordings . The Drummer is really on fire here.

The sound quallity is not great but it is full sounding ,where as every thing can be heard loud and clear .The album is way better than Johnny Winter And... Playing and sound wise ,in my opinion

You don't get Hide Away or some of the other stuff he used to cover in this time period , i think thats on Lone Star Shoot out though .

Johnny's Band could cover a Classic song and make it into a long jam

that is why it's good to investigate other live recordings offical and unofficial .

This recording sounds like a high quallity bootleg by todays standards .

Raw and Good
