I just HAD to write a review due to the one lame and single unhelpful review that was left for this product.
**I do not own this product!! Therefore I could not give it 5 stars as I have not been able to see and report on video quality from the dvd. I am giving you a review of the song and music video.**

But what I would like to say is, Walkingshade is my second favorite song on Billy Corgan's debut solo album called The Future Embrace. To the untrained ear, you would think this single all the music on this solo effort is done with synths. But NO! It and the rest of the album does have a full band arrangment! (but I am pretty sure electronic drums are used, so 'no', there is no drum machine, judging from Future Embrace concert footage.) Plus, Billy is a guitar god and wouldn't skip playing the guitar for music he makes. This and all the songs on his solo do contain beautiful electronic arrangement too. And the lyrics Billy writes for his SP albums, and now one solo, are always fun and give fresh ideas of imagery and poetry. The lyrics are boggling to decypher as you can realize that the meanings of some words or lines in the songs might have a hundred paged, personal story behind them.
And am glad Walkingshade got a music video! You can easily find the Walkingshade video on Youtube. The video is great eye candy to me, as I have always loved that costume, art, and set direction that has seemed to carry over from past Smashing Pumpkins days. Sometimes when you love a song to death and then finally see a music video to it, it can crush what you thought about what a possibly video might be for it and you wish you never saw it in the first place because it really feels like half the song is now ruined for you. (I.E., the music video for Siouxsie &tB's song called Dazzle. Grrr!) So I've -definitely- had plenty of these experiences. But I was no where near disapointed with this Walkingshade music video!

(Tho Smashing Pumpkins' latest album is mostly good, I cannot bring myself to count the album. I mean, there is no James and D'arcy and the album is more political based rather than having a twisted and dark-boardering, whimisical feel. I miss that approach they ended with in 2000 SO SO MUCH! And I was glad that the same approach was carried on to Billy's solo album that contains this Walkingshade single.)

If a Smashing Pumpkin fan loved the last two (official) SP albums before they broke up, Adore and Machina, then they would LOVE Billy's solo effort. It is worth buying the album to give Billy the proper money from purchasing it, rather than stealing the songs off from online somewhere.

**I feel like I could say to go for buying this single's dvd if you've seen the video before and loved it, but again, since I do not own it, I cannot report on the dvd quality.** Sorry 'bout that! I just wanted to put a quality review up since there wasn't one yet.
