Living on Long Island my entire life, I found this book extremely validating of my own experiences with travels on the island. I know that many of the landscapes have changed in the past 10 years since the book was written, but each one is still well worth the trip. If you are one that wants to leave the city for the weekend or wants to enjoy the heritage and nature that our own backyard produces, which we are unaware of, this is your guide. Enrich your life, go outside, breath the fresh air, and talk a walk with this book, you won't be disappointed.
