Product Description

Walkstool is a unique company making an even more unique and extremely useful product. The Walkstool Comfort is born of fine Swedish engineering and provides a portable posterior platform - in other words, a seat for all occasions. Whereas a folding chair or stool is nothing new, this Walkstool's clever design makes it stand out from the rest. The two primary issues Walkstool's designers focused on were compact size and load strength and the final product reflects their careful engineering and dedication. The primary benefit of the Walkstool is the prevention of back strain or fatigue while keeping a person elevated to a comfortable height. This is useful for sports, event, and press photographers who spend many hours on their feet, squatting or on their knees. It is also good for campers and other outdoor enthusiasts or simply anyone who needs a seat in a location where a comfortable chair may be hard to come by. The Walkstool Comfort line features lightweight and ultra-portable stools with two height positions depending on whether the telescoping legs are extended or not. Transportation of these sub-two lbs stools is a breeze, as it collapses into a compact form that can be easily carried in a camera bag, backpack, or tool bag to be taken just about anywhere. The Comfort line improves on the Basic line with a larger seat, different size seat mesh material, and larger rubber feet to prevent the stool legs from getting stuck in the mud

5.0 out of 5 stars Completely Satisfied, August 1, 2009
This review is from: Walkstool Comfort 26" inch XXL Compact Stool Portable Folding Chair with Case for sports & travel Photography (Electronics)
I am 67 years old, overweight with a bad back. I bought this item based on previous reviews and I must say I am not disappointed. Although pricey, it is a sturdy item and I'm convinced capable of supporting more than my weight (270+). The thing I find most surprising: for a "stool" it is actually more comfortable to sit in, based on the feedback from my back and hips, than my Lazyboy.

The only complaint: the vendor that sent me the stool sent a 22" model instead of the 26" I ordered. Am I mad you ask? Not the least. I think the 26" model would have been too tall for my height which is a tad short of 6'. Things happen for a reason!

One more thing: I find that when the stool's legs are retracted, the stool is a bit too short to work on at that level...it's a bit too hard for me to stand up from that low a position. Stool's fault? Not at all, in fact I going to order the 18" model so I can tighten the lug nuts on my camper and then stand up without my knees screaming at me.

Good product? I think so, in fact I'm ordering one for my son who is a bow hunter and needs it for his hunting blind.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stooping and staring, September 21, 2008
This review is from: Walkstool Comfort 26" inch XXL Compact Stool Portable Folding Chair with Case for sports & travel Photography (Electronics)
My wife accuses me of "Stooping and staring", she doesn't apprediate my analytical side. I am 6'2" tall and have a bad back. I have looked at many stools and owned many. I was looking for a stool for photography, in that I spend long hours waiting for a shot to develop. Height, durability and ease of use were my concerns.

The Comfort XXL, 26" is working out very well for me. I use both levels with good comfort. Very well built, stable and rugged. It is expencive but I prefer to pay once for products that work well and last.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for sitting and waiting, June 12, 2008
This review is from: Walkstool Comfort 26" inch XXL Compact Stool Portable Folding Chair with Case for sports & travel Photography (Electronics)
I purchased this particular stool because of the height it offered. Allowing me to sit with a good height for my tripod or monopod. When setting it up be certain to engage the locks for the telescoping legs. The leg lengths do not offer height adjustment though I do think that may be an added benefit.
The seat is designed like a saddle and offer a natural leg spread with its design.
