Released concurrently with the Pixar/Disney major motion picture release of the same name, WALL·E is the story of the little robot that could.

Due to rampant consumerism, sometime in the near future, the Earth is so covered with trash and pollution that it forces an exodus off the planet. But before humanity departs they build millions of little robots programmed to clean up the planet. Unfortunately, the cleanup program doesn’t go quite as planned, leaving the cleanup solely in the hands of our little robot hero WALL·E and his love interest EVE.

I am 28 years old and my girlfriend is 25, but if you were to watch us huddle together and smile our way through this charming little game, you'd swear that we were a pair of elementary school kids. In my opinion, Wall-E is a special kind of movie that almost anyone can sit down and enjoy if they allow themselves to.
That being said, when we picked up a copy of Wall-E the video game we weren't expecting a mind-blowing, revolutionary gaming experience. We just wanted to have some laid-back fun zipping around the decks of the Axiom causing mischief, and that's exactly what we got. I'm not sure why some people review this game as if they were expecting the next Bioshock or Fallout. The price tag and style of Wall-E liken it more to an X-Box Live Arcade game, and when viewed in that light, Wall-E is a really good game.
What's really important is that Wall-E the video game has preserved the heart and personality of Wall-E the movie. Much like the way I felt about Ghostbusters the video game, you can nitpick the gameplay all you want, it may not be perfect but doesn't the feeling of being in a familiar and beloved world overshadow those shortcomings? Doesn't anyone remember playing movie-based games on the original Nintendo? Where the relationship between the game and the movie rarely went farther than the name on the cartridge? I think we're a bit spoiled these days.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter and she loves it. A few of the parts of the game are kind of difficult for a child, but other than that it's a great way to keep the kids occupied for a while.

A cute game for all ages. Lots of fun puzzles to challenge the player, and overall pretty entertaining. It's a game based off the movie so it's predictable as far as where the story is going to end up, but the mechanics aren't choppy and it was made fairly well. I recommend it if you're bored and if it's on sale for less than $5.

I'm not going to pretend that I love this game, I'll be honest. I bought this game at Game Stop, one day later, 100% completed. No Joke! I unlocked all the missions, collectibles and nearly all of the achievements. This is such a short game, and I take my sweet time. I had a whole day off to play it, sure, but I also took very long brakes in-between missions. These missions are both short and repetitive. There were very few places in the game were I struggled; mainly in places like the obstacle courses and simply not knowing what to do. This game probably took me about 4 hours to complete. I wish the game wasn't so short, that kind of bums me out. When it comes to the game play, (as I mentioned), it is very repetitive. The overall activities are basically a collection of obstacles courses and "puzzles". You will soon recognize an identical pattern that is repeated over and over in each of the missions. To amplify how short this game feels, a lot of abilities are rather under-used; the "magnet-cube" is introduced at one point, then barely ever used again. Believe it or not, I looked forward to playing this game. I did my best to find it locally for a cheap price (Amazon is charging way too much for this IMO). This is a 2008 game, so expect low quality graphics for today's standards. Due to the fact that this also based on a movie, will also lower the quality. I find that movie license games release mostly poor quality games. Movie licensed games are generally rushed projects that are made only to be released at a very specific time and to feed consumers merchandise for a currently popular movie. This feels like an incomplete game, there is VERY little that it offers. For those who enjoy this for nostalgia, I'm happy for you. I don't mean to discourage anyone from playing this game.Read more ›

It's probably the most enjoyable lecture on ecology I have received. It's a heart warming story while showing a world where careless stewardship leads as a warning to those of us who are recovering litter bugs not to return to our despicable ways.

Well, -generally I have problems concentrating on playing video games. Cause they're like to slow or something. But whatever the reasoning, Wall E, has captivated it. I'm currently on the second tumbler (which is difficult), and the robots are trying to capture Wall E while yelling Halt! I do not like the fact that they didn't use actual movie scenes. They re-created them. I'm talking about the interrupter parts or movie tie ins...not sure what they're referred to. Anyway, other than that issue it is a great game despite what you tube people claim. And yes, some parts are difficult for the young child. It'll be a breeze for someone with months to years of gaming experience. Give your kids more than an hour to play this game. They'll have to repeat a few of the levels several times before getting through. And you do not have to collect all the items in order to complete the levels just the wallops. And on the magnetic strips chips: you'll need to remember that the directions are backwards. Down is up on the controller. Not easy to navigate those. Otherwise, this is an enjoyable game, and Wall E makes you feel like your playing with an RC controller (if your using wireless) or at least it does that with me.
