4.0 out of 5 stars overall happy
Just recieved this Wall-e costume in the mail today. After reading reviews I knew what to expect. But my son wanted to be Wall-e for halloween. I agree. It is flimsy doesn't look much like a box. The gloves fall right off (will probably put some elastic on them as 1 review suggested. HOWEVER.... my 3 1/2 yr old LOVES it. He keeps asking me if he put it back on. It has...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected for the price
My son really wanted this Wall-E costume for Halloween. When I saw the price, I was hesitant, but I thought for that price, it must be good quality. When I took it out of the package, it was not constructed the way I expected. It does not hold the "box" form and is quite flimsy. The "hands" and "goggles" are great, and overall, my son is pleased with this costume, but...

My son just had to have this cotume for Halloween so I broke down and paid about [...] for it. What a rip-off. For [...] I might have felt ok about it. It is made from 2 pieces of foam with shoulder straps. The goggles broke right in the middle of the eye piece after 15 minutes of trick-or-treating. So not worth the price.

I ordered this a few weeks before halloween and it was a LOT cheaper than what it is listed at now, just 6 days before. And i have to say it was way overpriced then, which was a much lower price. i can see from the previous review that they have blocked the prices. that is unfortunate because there is only so much supply and demand can to do justify the price it has jumped up to. and anyone who is considering this item should know what they are getting themselves in for.

It is two pieces of square foam attached by two pieces of elastic at the shoulder. PERIOD. because there are no side supports, i have lovely pictures of the tags because it shifted and the three back inside tags were at the top. the eye pieces and gloves are okay but the body of the costume is nothing short of a kiddy version of a sandwich sign. And, it is only decorated on the front. the back is just a solid brown color. not only that, it is awkward to wear. the only way to keep the gloves on is to walk around with hands in the air just like the picture shows.

you could make just as good of one with a pair of safety goggles with little paper cutout glued to them. the gloves could be made using a pair of dad's grey socks. get yourself a brown cardboard box, a little paint and a strip of green reflector tape and there would be no difference between the rest of this costume.

My son loves Wall-e so we decided on this costume. After we received it the goggles broke about 5 seconds after he put them on. Contacted the seller and they would not replace the goggles without returning the entire costume. Being a few days before Halloween there was not enough time. We also had to sew some velcro on the sides so the costume would stay on right. Love Wall-e but the costume is not worth the money.

My little boy put this costume on with supervision and immediately the goggles tore. The goggles are made of a very thin foam. Take great care when putting on or taing off. This costume is definately not durable enough for the target age group. Amamzon immedaitely remedied the situation, but we reinforced the replacement pair before wearing.

My son really wants to be Wall E for halloween, so I bought this costume. It is very poor quality. The goggles fell apart in 10 minutes. The gloves would not stay on any size or shape of hands. The main body of the costume only has printing on the front, and is mostly just a piece of foam paper. The costume has no side panels at all. You would be better off decorating a cardboard box.

I bought this costume for a child who wanted nothing more to be Wall-E this Halloween. It is certainly the cheap costume mentioned in other reviews. It is also the only Wall-E costume on the marked. Given that, I ordered it. The sandwich board style "body" costume could certainly use some sides. I'll sew two ties on either side to make sure it doesn't slip off too much. The goggles are a high point. I think they will stay on reasonably well. The gloves will most defiantly fall off, as others have pointed out. I think this can be resolved by sewing some elastic around the wrist portion. So, if you can do some minor sewing, getting this costume up to snuff is no big deal. If you aren't a major sewer, you might want to talk your little darling into something else.

1.0 out of 5 stars This Company is a RIP OFF, April 16, 2009
Very Poor Quality! Basically a piece of foam that flaps over the body, along with a very cheap set of goggles. My four year old could even tell what a piece of garbage it was. Not to mention that this particular dealer overcharged me by $50.00. The price tag on the bag said $9.95. Shame on these price mongers!

My 3 yr old is obsessed with Wall-e! I was excited to find the costume on Amazon. We paid a fair price for the costume and received it before the the projected date. The only downfall was the goggles were easily ripped in the middle, but other then that my son was estastic and brought his dream to life!
