This is not copper wire, it's coated aluminum. I've contacted the seller twice about returns with no reply. I recommend you shop elsewhere.

For less money you can get real copper wire from a fantastic company: monoprice.com

I used this wire to go under our deck to some outdoor speakers. Time will tell, but I feel pretty confident that the extra plastic shield around the wires will hold up to the elements.

Pulled the wire in wall/attic for install. Wire has a nice, thick outer white casing, with standard black and red copper inside as shown in the picture. It easily spooled off of the roll that it came on and sounds just fine with my surround.
