Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal

Humphrey describes an easy way to invest in common stocks: through guidelines established by an investment club, especially one that adheres to principles from the National Association of Investment Clubs. These include elements on the management of an investment club as well as guidelines and techniques to apply when investing. Humphrey stresses three main principles: invest every month; reinvest the dividends; and invest in growth companies. Doing this with an investment club, or on your own (and she discusses this too), can lead to success. Humphrey's discussion on the operation of the stock market as well as on common stocks in general plus a very good glossary make this a fairly complete, comprehensible primer on a sound investment alternative.
