This was my first venture outside the NYT Sunday puzzles. Even though I majored in accounting and invested over the years, I hadn't remembered every single term applicable to the world of business. Could I possibly handle puzzles from (gasp!)the WALL STREET JOURNAL? Not to worry, the puzzles contained in it, with respect to difficulty, are about 95% on par with those of the NYT. A few are slightly easier and I met quite a few of the standard clues that are used, apparently, all over puzzledom.

I was a little concerned buying this crossword puzzle book sight-unseen because it comes from the Wall Street Journal and has clues and words that pertain specifically to the world of finance about which I know little. But I took a chance on it, and I have to say that I haven't had any problems at all with the puzzles. None of that esoteric stuff we've been hearing about so much lately with the financial world's meltdown. Derivatives? What are those. Won't find out here!
I find the puzzles to be very much on the level of the New York Times Sunday puzzles, so that might give you an idea of their degree of difficulty. I've very much enjoyed doing them. The book itself is well-constructed and the print and paper are excellent. Scott Morrison

Delightfully entertaining and challenging. I would classify the puzzles as being moderately hard. I especially like the spiral binding which enables the book to open easily and lay flat as you work on a puzzle. The one criticism I have is the quality of the paper and the color. The pages are similar to old newspaper. However, it is a great buy for the money.
