I was really impressed with the Wallace Chest. The wood was good quality and the color was dark & very pretty with nice wood grain. The interior was lined with a good quality fabric & nicely padded seperating each designated space. I would definately purchase this item again.

Great value for money!! Quality is much better than what I expected for the price. There is space for 12 knives in the lid, but it is a tight fit to get 12 of everything else in the vertical grooves. My forks and spoons are a little on the thick side, but not much. So if your set is not really flat, beware the box might not fit a set of 12. Other than that, it is a great buy!!

An excellent value, and quite sturdy considering the price. But mine was wrapped in cellophane before the varnish had dried. It took about 3 days for the odor to dissipate. Not a long-term problem, but if you intend this as a gift, I suggest you open and rewrap it ahead of time.

The chest I got had been wrapped in tissue before the finish dried, apparently, and so the top has some spots where the tissue stuck to a drop of polyurethane. It's going to be very difficult to get this off without refinishing the top.

In addition, the chest is very lightweight (not a good thing in a silver chest because it tends to tip when there are knives in the top).

I give it three stars as good value for the money. But don't necessarily expect perfection.

Beautifully crafted with clean beautiful lines. Well prices. Very elegant. Arrived expeditiously with Free Shipping offer and in excellent condition. Would unequivocally buy from this seller again. Highly recommend this piece for your flatware storage.

The chest is perfect for storing the 5-piece service for 12 and several serving pieces. It is well made and we feel that it will protect our flatware for many years to come.

I purchased a flatware set for my daughters shower. It was delivered in crappy cardboard boxes (horrible presentation). I then ordered "Wallace Dark Walnut 15" single Chest". It was very well made and the presentation was a Million Dollar Show.

I was very pleased with this chest. It is nicely made, as nicely as much more expensive ones. My silverware gleamed beautifully when placed inside.

My case was damaged on receipt (poor packaging from the manufacturer and from Amazon), but I elected for a refund rather than a replacement because this just wasn't a very high quality item. The finish on the wood was poor and the interior lining material consisted of dozens of small pieces with rough edges and exposed adhesive. The case also smelled horrible, though I'm not sure if that was from the adhesive on the inside or from the varnish.

Simply put, I wouldn't use this case to hold stainless flatware that runs $8/person so I'm certainly not going to use it for silver that costs $800/person.

Arrived in a timely manner and it was exactly as described. It was a gift and they were very pleased with it.
