3.0 out of 5 stars Got it free. OK game.
Game installed and ran fine on a 2GHz Core2Duo machine running vista home premium with 2GB ram and an 8600GT video card. Point-and-click adventure game with adjustable in-game help system. About 4 hours long, plot driven with good voice acting. Options menu slowed by clunky animated eye-candy.

And most importantly, this game perfectly captures the charm of a Wallace & Gromit short better than any other W&G game ever has. The story is funny, the voice acting is superb and the characters are perfectly realized. If you are any sort of fan of Wallace & Gromit, you need to pick up this game and play it. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't rate it badly because your machines suck., November 10, 2009

This game is very enjoyable & deserves much more than to be rated 1 star consistantly because either can't grasp the concept of point & click adventure games or because there PC is not strong enough to run it. Here is a tip for those of you having problems.... go to the options menu & lower the graphics quality, there is hardly any noticable differences & it will cause your game to run MUCH faster. If you are having any further trouble just go to Telltale's website & click on support. I guarantee that they will solve any problem that you may be experiencing.

Now to review the actual game....

Out of the Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures series, this is probably my favorite game. It revolves around the shady Monty Muzzle who appears after the storm of the previous game to open a fair who's proceeds will go towards repairing the town's Dog Shelter. He appears at Wallace & Gromit's door asking for any help that they may be able to give & that is where this episode's adventure starts. In the following chapters you will discover Monty Muzzle's true motives, Unravel a conspiracy that would have PETA ready to make some heads roll, Take to the skies in a flying Ice Cream truck & play some carnival games along the way.

The game is a little on the easy side so younger games shouldn't get to frustated when playing it. That being said... the game does have a few puzzles which are a little on the tough side. There are specific times in the game (such as the gumball puzzle) that had me absolutely stumped. If you don't throughly explore the world (which should be easy as it isn't overly large) & don't think about the puzzles carefully then you may encounter some issues when trying to solve the game's many puzzles.

In closing... If you are a fan of Wallace & Gromit or Adventure games in general, then I would HIGHLY recommend this game. For as cheap as it is, you really couldn't ask for much more (well as far as Adventure games go).

The game installed perfectly. Great animation and story. The kids loved it. A little tricky at times but pretty straight forward to win in the end - loads of fun. I have a core 2 duo and a cheap 1gb GeForce 9400 GT graphics card. I messed around with the settings before I began and adjusted the resolution down a bit though I don't think I needed to, but with some complaining about the speed did it anyway. Except for a brief pause between scenes occasionally to load the next part of the game, everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend this game.

To the user who found the 30-minute demo time limit -- you need to click on the "already purchased - Click here" link in that window. If the amazon downloader is running and able to connect to the internet, it will upgrade the demo to the full version for free.

Haven't played the game much yet, but it seems to be running fine on XP SP2 with no installer issues.

This is by far one of my favorite adventure games. I had never paid much attention to Wallace and Gromit until I found out Telltale Games was making this game, and I love everything about it. Awesome graphics, looks just like watching the original animation. Great voices and storylines, excellent puzzles. Requires a fairly decent system to run, but it's easily one of the greatest adventure games released this decade.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost like a new W&G film, November 10, 2009

I got this game for free via a Telltale promotion (that is still ongoing, as of this date). It's a wonderful game, and I think that Wallace & Gromit fans and fans of adventure games will like it. It's almost as good as a new short film. The voice acting ranges from good to great (my favourites were Wallace and the retired Major). The script is quite funny. The music is fantastic. The puzzles are logical. Every single review from a professional game reviewer I've seen has been positive. In fact, the reviews at adventure gaming sites have been complaining that it's a bit too easy.

I'm baffled by all the 1-star reviews here. The default video quality was indeed too much to handle for my computer, but it can be changed in the main menu. The control scheme is very simple. There's even an in-game tutorial for people who've never played a game like this before.

Maybe the main issue here is that people who dislike thinking shouldn't be playing adventure games. This is the type of game where you must turn your brain ON. Some of us enjoy that.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great game, don't listen to the negative reviews, November 11, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures: Episode 3 [Download] (Software Download)
I couldn't help but notice how this game has been getting quite a few negative reviews here... and all of them are based on ignorance.
You'll notice the majority of them gave the game a low rating simply because the users in question couldn't get the game to run - this is a ridiculous reason to give a game a one star rating. Especially since the game is no more hassle to get up and running than any other PC game out there... it works perfectly as long as your computer isn't completely outdated.

The game is highly playable, great storyline and well worthy of the W&G license.

If I have one complaint, it's how the game forces you to use the keyboard (or gamepad) to move the characters.
I feel the tried and tested point & click method is the best way to play an adventure game... but this is only a minor complaint.
Don't get me wrong - the controls work very well for what they are, and most gamers these days expect to use WASD for movement anyway.

Anyway, the bottom line is - this is a great game and Telltale (the creators of this and several other similar games) are making a fantastic contribution to reviving the adventure game genre.

5.0 out of 5 stars Game not given a chance, December 6, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures: Episode 3 [Download] (Software Download)
Look. The game is getting a lot of bad reviews because it was free and frankly people who never play adventure games and games that don't require thought play it.

They get confused. Angry. Give it the worst rating.

It has some graphic issues on low end machines. I have a laptop and it worked fine. A couple of hours of work even for an experience adventure gamer. It is solvable. Interesting situations with a dog and a human. Creative, funny.

If you like Wallace and Gromit it is worth getting. If you like adventure games and games that make you think it was worth it. The price for the entire season right now is extremely low. It is cheaper and better than a movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worthy of Wallace & Gromit Show, May 26, 2011
This review is from: Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures: Episode 3 [Download] (Software Download)
This is an excellent game that captures the spirit of the show. The voice acting is great, the puzzles are logical, and you actually feel like you're in an episode of Wallace & Gromit.

The controls are easy and there's a tutorial. To play the game you have to talk to other characters and pay attention to what they say. If you explore the rooms, you'll find something that you can click on or interact with and then it's up to you to use your brain power to solve the problem!

I never had any trouble installing or running the game and I'm using a laptop with windows 7. I did turn down the graphics quality in the settings to make the game run smoother.
