5.0 out of 5 stars The Second Time Around, October 10, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Jimi Wallet-100% Recycled Plastic Wallet Compact & Water Resistant- See All Colors (Misc.)
I just bought my second Jimi. The first was a Christmas gift 4 years ago. I used to be one of those guys that kept everything in his wallet and had a huge butt bulge because of it. The Jimi takes care of that. I've cut down the list of things I carry around with me to just the things I actually need. I get compliments all the time from cashiers, etc. when they see it.

The only reason I'm getting a new one is the plastic is beginning to wear a bit. But, with 4 years of straight use, I'm not willing to really count that as an issue with the wallet itself.

This is the perfect wallet for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and bulky, September 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

Not at all what I expected. The Jimi's about the size of a deck of playing cards, larger than a normal wallet and much larger than anything I'd call "minimal"

Feels and looks like a cheap plastic box. Uses bending plastic as a hinge and flexing plastic to lock it closed. Feels like either or both could break at any time.

Inside, there are three additional (though removable) layers of plastic, severely limiting the capacity.

I was planning on moving up from a simple money clip (held 4 cards plus cash) but don't get any more storage in this wallet for about 3x the pocket space.

5.0 out of 5 stars GR8 for CYCLING and around town shopping, January 2, 2010

I purchased this directly from 'Mr. Smith', in 2008, and also the lanyard, which is very helpful, because without it you have to dig up your own means to have it dangle around your neck! Mainly I use it for cycling, in one of the pockets of my Oakley hydration pack, with the lanyard hanging out in case of emergency, since it carries my vital papers; 2 medical cards and emergency contact card, plus a credit card for stopping along the way for a bite to eat or emergency bike repair.

Go by what the directions say - only carry what it can hold, because if you stuff it with more than it can take, the inside top will never stay on or you will stress the plastic and it could break. It's made for minimal use, so you should not be stuffing it with things you normally carry in your wallet, like an arsenal of pictures or fifty credit cards! I carry $5 and a few $1's, in additional to the vital papers and 1 credit card. (I don't take my driver's license cycling)

I purchased the orange color for visibility. Another plus, it's transparent. For me, in case of an emergency, the medical card is facing out. I had such an experience, hit by a car while cycling and it was a cinch for the EMT's and police to find my vital information, whereas I was not able to tell them where to look!
