The jig is up!,
By ChibiNeko "Sooo many books, so little time!" (Whereever I go, here I am.) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: The Wallflower 9: Yamatonadeshiko Shichihenge (Wallflower: Yamatonadeshiko Shichihenge) (Paperback)
Sunako's aunt finally begins to wonder if her niece is really as much of a lady as the boys claim she is & comes home unannounced... only to discover that Sunako is mostly unchanged. Her aunt decides that the only way to turn Sunako into a lady is to give Sunako her "first time" with Kyohei (she was told that they were a couple & was never told the truth). Sunako then has to survive a night with the "creature of the light". Also in this volume we begin to see more of Kyohei's past life with his family and why he's so antisocial. When an offhand remark sends Kyohei running off, the entire group has to wonder if he'll ever return again...
I really liked this volume. It made up for the filler episodes by showing us some real character development between the main characters of Kyohei & Sunako. Looking at Kyohei's past, it's frankly understandable why he became the way he is. I really enjoyed this volume. I'd recommend it, but by this point the only ones who should be reading it are ones who are familiar w/ the plot-- the story is too far along to jump in anywhere at this point.

I absolutely love the Wallflower series. It has toe be my favorite manga because it is just soo unbelievably funny. There's hardly a page that goes by when I don't want to laugh. And although, the first one in the series remains, in my opinion, the funniest, that is no reason to stop reading the series.
