5.0 out of 5 stars I DON'T DO MYSTERIES!!!!!
Hey Everybody!!!! The first thing I want to say is "I DON'T DO MYSTERY BOOKS". I have over 200 African American books in my personal library at home...and not one of them are a Mystery. But my Bookstore Lady kept saying "Emma, you have to read this Mystery Book"....and I finally broke down and read it. The book was EXCELLENT!!!!! I loved Joe and...

3.0 out of 5 stars a homicide that opened doors for an intimate relationship
V. Alexandria "If Walls Could Talk" I would say the book started off slow. Once I got to the murder, the process of elimination was suspenseful, the plot took off and I could not wait to put aside my daily responsibilities, so that I could finish the book. I am not a mystery lover, but after reading "If Walls Could Talk" I am persuaded that V...

I loved Joe and Vernon relationship. The book was funny, sad, happy, and a little twist of romance. The suspense of who killed Raymond almost killed me....but I refused to go to the back of the book. I really enjoyed If Walls Could Talk.....I still don't do (other writers) mysteries, but I can't wait for Mr. Alexandria next book. I have became one of your biggest fans. Thank you for sharing your talent with us Mr. Alexandria.

5.0 out of 5 stars Who Done It?, August 7, 2000

This review is from: If Walls Could Talk (Paperback)
Although this book is fast pace, it has it all - intrigue, suspense, romance, murder, and a web of deception. The two detectives have a great relationship & you enjoy the dialogue between the two of them. Can't wait until the author writes his next book. Move over Walter Mosley, there is a new mystery writer in town!

V. Alexandria "If Walls Could Talk" I would say the book started off slow. Once I got to the murder, the process of elimination was suspenseful, the plot took off and I could not wait to put aside my daily responsibilities, so that I could finish the book. I am not a mystery lover, but after reading "If Walls Could Talk" I am persuaded that V. Alexandria is on his way to many more great mystery novels. As a writer myself, I realize that Vincent Alexandria has much to offer us as readers and writers, I realize mystery novels requires much work and imagination. Toward the end of the book, I felt like I had been seduced into a world that was sad, yet complete. I was moved by Seirra, and Joe's character, that they would take on a responsibility to raise her mother's child, and I think Joe's relationship with Seirra should have been a little more intimate, and Joe's relationship with the late Raymond should have been more descriptive so that, toward the end, I would have appreciated them raising that child together. Over all, I was Thrilled.

5.0 out of 5 stars A PLOT TWISTING MURDER MYSTERY FILLED WITH SUSPENSE., May 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: If Walls Could Talk (Paperback)
"IF WALLS COULD TALK" IS A PLOT TWISTING MURDER MYSTERY THAT IS FILLED WITH SUSPENSE. EACH TIME I THOUGHT I KNEW WHO THE KILLER WAS, THE AUTHOR WOULD TURN THE PLOT IN ANOTHER DIRECTION AND THROW ME OFF COURSE. HIS COLORFUL CHARACTERS KEPT ME LAUGHING AND HIS VIVID DETAILS RETAINED MY ATTENTION. BECAUSE I REALLY ENJOY READING ROMANCE NOVELS, I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WAY MR. ALEXANDRIA INCORPORATED IT IN THIS BOOK. I ENJOYED THE BOOK SO MUCH THAT I READ IT IN ONE EVENING. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ HIS NEXT NOVEL!

This review is from: If Walls Could Talk (Paperback)
This is a fast-paced murder mystery with lot's of twists and turns and political intrigue. The plot is further complicated by a developing love interest between the main character (Detective Joe Johnson) and one of his attractive suspects. This is a well written book and a real page turner, whether you're a murder mystery fan or not. "Two thumbs up!" -ES

5.0 out of 5 stars Luring, Suspense Filled, April 9, 2001
This review is from: If Walls Could Talk (Paperback)
If Walls Could Talk is a luring, suspense filled, mystery novel that
will bolt you down until the last page. I enjoyed the witty yet grim
dialogue between Joe and Raymond as the close-knit duo explored,
examined, and probed day in and day out to solve the mysterious murder
of Raymond Tyler. While uncertainty is placed on several possible
suspects, Joe and Vernon will keep you in wonderment until the very
end. Tracy??? Okay, I won't go there. Issues!!!! Anyway...If you
like mystery, suspense, and romance all wrapped into one, pick up this
novel and enjoy the ride.

5.0 out of 5 stars IF Walls Could Talk, November 14, 2000
By
This review is from: If Walls Could Talk (Paperback)
If Walls Could Talk, is an extremely well written mystery novel. The suspension of finding out the murder kept me on the edge of my chair. The author, Vicent Alexandria, threw in a few twist and turns to divert the readers from solving the mystery. This book is not only a mystery but it is also a romance a novel.

The emotional changes that you experience while reading this book are insurmountable. There were moments in the book that I could relate to the emotions of the characters. This novel makes you acquire solidarity with the characters. I highly recommend this book to all the mystery lovers. I cannot wait for the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars AN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL WHODUNIT!, October 13, 2000
This review is from: If Walls Could Talk (Paperback)
If Walls Could Talk takes you to many places that you recognize immediately and pulls people from your everyday field of reference and weaves a story that makes you wonder about the people you think you really know. The crime is one that too often highlights our news, with the exception being that we get to go all of the way with it. The reader visits the bloody scene of the heinous crime and follows every suspected character into places that will make you laugh and shudder. There are relationships here that you want to embrace and others you will want to shake off. This novel entertains and informs. It is a well written offering by this new author, Vincent Alexandria, that will make the reader want to enjoy it in silent seclusion until Mr. Alexandria reveals exactly WHODUNIT.
