At last, Splash Mountain!, September 10, 2002
This review is from: Walt Disney World Resort in Florida (Audio CD)
From 1984-1997 I was quite possibly the world's biggest WDW fan. I then left for art school and my love for Disney was put on the back burner. I decided to look for WDW sites in late 2001 simply because I was bored, and I came across this CD. My love for WDW was completely rekindled because of this CD. I had spent several years looking for the music of the WDW version of Splash Mountain, but could only find songs to the Disneyland version. I played this CD and was simply amazed to find almost the entire soundtrack intact. It's superb. The sound quality is crystal-clear, is in full stereo and is rich and full. The CD is worth buying for this nearly 8-minute long track alone. Even the opossums that hang upside-down can be heard singing. I was also very pleased to find the entrance music to Alien Encounter. That certainly brings back memories. The only thing negitive I can say about this CD is that I wish it included more tracks from Epcot. I was really hoping to find the music from the updated Spaceship Earth on here. That is one soundtrack that I'd jump on when/if it becomes available.

Official Album--WDW Resort, August 27, 2001
This review is from: Walt Disney World Resort in Florida (Audio CD)
This latest version of the WDW Official Album is the best to come along so far. Past compilations have featured shortened versions of " a Pirate's Life", "Grim Grinning Ghosts", and Splash Mountain tracks, but this collection features almost full unedited versions, (ex. the Pirates track has almost all sections of the entire ride represented. Same for the Haunted Mansion. The Splash Mountain track contains all songs in the attraction as well as dialog from the final lift hill section before the drop. The small world track is from the actual attraction, instead of the version with adults singing, as has been found on past collections. The only thing I would add to the next collection would be the soundtrack from Spectromagic or the Main Street Electrical Parade. Other than that oversight, my family and I find this to be the best representation of music from the WDW parks so far. From the opening conductor call on the Magic Kingdom Railroad to the final swells of the Fireworks soundtrack, this collection takes you right back to the parks. Two thumbs way up!

Official Album - Unofficial Review, November 27, 2001
This review is from: Walt Disney World Resort in Florida (Audio CD)
A whole lot of fun to sit back and listen to while looking at your vacation pictures. Great music right out of the attractions. It is missing a few, like Space Mountain, Cinderella's Carousel, and the Theme from Animal Kingdom. A worthwhile purchase.
