Not what I expected...,

This review is from: Walt Disney's Cinderella (Disney's Wonderful World of Reading) (Hardcover)
The book was not the original 1974 copyright in pink hardcover as displayed on the site. It was a newer copyright version (2006), smaller in size and different cover displayed. I read through it and it has the reminiscence of what I remembered reading when I was little with pictures in like so I am satisfied with that although I truly wished I could have the original that I lost so many years ago.

Best Book Ever,
This review is from: Walt Disney's Cinderella (Golden Super Shape Book) (Paperback)
The story of Cinderella is my favorite. When I was little I would watch this movie over and over. The music the plot itself, it was all so breath taking. This is a great book and I hope there are many more like this to come.

Books made to fit small hands,
By Jacqueline R. St John "Serendipppppppppppity" (Boulder Junction WI) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: walt disney's cinderella (Hardcover)
The small board book measures 6.25' x 5.5" x.25". It is small and light weight. Easy for the child who is just beginning to practice fine finger skill coordination. A larger size book would perhaps lead to frustration and subsequently a feeling that reading is not of interest. The Font in this book is large and dark. At 1/8th inch high this book is also very easy for a skilled reader to assist in the discovery of books while the book is held by the child who is being mentored. The illustrations are full page bright primary colors. Captivating in their richness. 30 pages.

A Nice Little Book -- a review of Disney's World of Reading "Cinderella",
This review is from: Walt Disney's Cinderella (Disney's Wonderful World of Reading) (Hardcover)
This is a nice little book about one of Disney's favorite ladies -- Cinderella. The artwork looks like it was taken from the movie, although as noted elsewhere, it does not have the exact same depth of color. The story too is not quite the same, but anyone familiar with the movie shouldn't suffer from the few lapses. The 'choppiness' someone pointed out, is principally because this story has been reworked in an effort to make it a 'reader'. How successful they were will depend on how advanced your child is. Certainly this book is not a primer. An example of text from one of the pages follows so you can judge for yourself. When Cinderella opened the door she saw something wonderful. Her dress was ready! "Surprise!" cried the mice. "It is the prettiest dress I have ever seen," said Cinderella. And she put it on. One of the nice results of the reworking of the story is that the book is not too long, making it a good choice for bedtime or the doctor's office. Four Stars. If you have a young princess at home you might want to check this book out (especially at these prices!) as it can be used as a read-aloud, and then a reader later. The artwork is very close to the movie and my daughter certainly enjoys it (she's almost 6).

Cinderella by Walt Disney,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Walt Disney's Cinderella (Disney Classic) (Hardcover)
-Cinderella is the best young girl story there is! It's better than snow white, the little mermaid, and jazmin's aladin, in my opinon! A classic story with young romance! A most definite happily ever after story!!!

Cinderella,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Walt Disney's Cinderella (Big Golden Storybooks) (Hardcover)
Cinderella is about a girl named Cinderella who had to live with her stepmother who hated her. Cinderella had two stepsisters who hated her also. Cinderella is forced to cook and clean for her family while they sit around all day and do what they want. One day a messenger arrives with an invitation to a ball, but Cinderella is told she cant go. Her fairy godmother helps her out.It teaches that some dreams can come true and work out for you. I think the age level is around 6-8 years. I think this was a very interesting book and it never gets old no matter how many times you read it.

I like this story, of how someone not so fortunate gets to go to a ball and look like a princess. Also at the end of how Cinderella gets chosen by a prince and gets to live with him happily ever after!!

I didn't get the same book as pictured. The book pictured is the one my mom used to read me when I was little and it was my favorite. The book sent to me wasn't even close to what I thought I would be getting. The only reason I bought it was because I thought it was the same one.
