Basic recipes with fun Disney characters fill this great cookbook. From Winnie the Pooh French Toast to Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee's Banana Split, this cookbook is great for kids who have 3-4 grade level reading ability. The recipes are great for adults as well.

I received this book as a child. The idea was that mom and I could spend time in the kitchen together. Honestly, over a decade later as a college student, I still have it... And I've been known to pull it out on occasion. ;) It gives kitchen safety tips and shows kitchen utinsels.

There are excellent recipes, in the typical categories you see in cookbooks (appetizers, main dishes, desserts, etc). They all have an appeal to kids. They're not all necessarily things that a parent wouldn't know how to make (like grilled cheese), but the idea is to help kids learn, so that's okay in my book. You didn't really expect a souffle recipe, did you? :)

The Disney theme makes it all the more fun! Some recipes include spaghetti (Lady and the Tramp's, of course!), custard, various cupcakes (for the 7 Dwarves), and more.

I have a lot of great memories of sharing this book with my mom and learning about cooking, and I believe that many other people could make these kinds of memories, too. Check it out!

I was looking for the edition that is pictured which is the same one I had as a kid, but I got a totally different one with a pink cover - it's a revised edition with some of the same recipes, and some different. The one recipe I wanted (wonderland pancakes) was totally changed. The only good thing is I only spent about $6 (with shipping costs) total cost, so not worth it to send back and I will try some of the other recipes. I really wish the seller would use the correct photo and information when advertising their products, as I was very disappointed that it wasn't the right book. The seller was "internationalbooks."

My kids fixed dinner every Wednesday evening from the time they were in grade school and they loved using this book! So glad to find it available. Serviced as a great reminder of their childhoods. Shipped fast and in great condition.

My son loved this book growing up! He even wanted to make dinner when he was a teen (to get out of having to do the dishes), and used this book! I liked it because most cookbooks for kids depend heavily on packaged foods, but this book does not. Everything is from scratch.

Was listed as "like new" but is far from it. Consider that there is a "good" barcode sticker directly under the "like new" sticker on the back, it seems like they knew it too but tried to upgrade it and sell it for more. The binding is detached, there are dirt stains on the back, there's a huge crease as if it has been folded the wrong way at some point, and it has writing in it. It was supposed to be a gift, but it looks like I grabbed it out of the fee bin at the local bookstore and is unsuitable for gifting.

I bought this cookbook when my first child was an infant. Through the years both of my kids learned to cook very basic recipes from this book and learned about measurements and utensils as well as sanitation.
Initially before they began reading, I would read it to them and we'd review the prep work etc. and make easy things like cupcakes, french toasts, grilled cheese sandwiches, salads, and even spaghetti. This cookbook is beautifully illustrated and appealing to young children. The recipes have cute names that tie into Disney characters and are not only simple but kid friendly as well. By the time a child learns to read, this book is easy to follow for a young reader.
Beyond being a great first cookbook, this recipe started a family tradition that provided a fun activity while I spent time with my kids. I still remember little feet running toward the bookshelf and retrieving this cookbook. This tradition has continued with my grandchild and is popular with her as it was with my kids. My mom had an earlier version of this cookbook and I still remember cooking with her.

I am 36 years old and I still have this book. My parents got it for me when we went to the Magic Kingdom in the 70's. It is a treasure I will keep always and share with my nieces and nephew. I made the big bad wolfs brownies a lot. I still look at it and use it when I make hard boiled eggs; I can never remember how to make them. I love the memories this book brings to me. I my a true fan of all things Disney. A must have for all fans of the Mouse!!!
