Walt Disney's adaptation of Joel Chandler Harris's classic collection of stories is a wonderful selection for any child, but is a virtual must-own for children of the Deep South. The stories narrated by the fictional slave "Uncle Remus" detail the lives and relationships of a broad assortment of woodland creatures. The book includes the classic "Brer Rabbit and the Tar-Baby," as well as lesser-known tales such as "The Wuller-de-Wust." The beautifully illustrated depictions of the misadventures of Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear will enthrall youngsters of all ages as they read or listen to the stories. This is a book that I hope to pass down through generations of my family, just as my grandfather passed it on to me. You owe it to your children to obtain a copy, especially now that the book has gone out of print.

Had been searching for years for this movie. I had never seen it before but my husband and kids had. Very cute movie and am excited to be able to share this classic with my grandchildren.

I was looking for this book for my Grand Daughter who loves to be read to and I remembered the Uncle Remus stories from when I was a child. I did a search and surprisingly Amazon had many choices.This vendor delivered exactly as advertised at a very good price. It arrived timely and I would purchase from this vender again.

The book was in excellent condition. Much better than I expected for a used book. My Grandson and I are now enjoying the stories that my son enjoyed so much. Thanks for making such a wonderful book avalible for such a reasonable price.

I loved this book when I was a preteen. I couldn't read the original dialect stories from the library, but these were just right, particularly with all the Disney pictures. I've offered to lend it to my two teacher daughters to read in class, but it seems that life is too politically correct these days to let it into the classroom.

The condition of the book was exactly as advertised. Receipt of the item was prompt.
