After reading this book I have two observations. First the format. It is written in sort of news article format, with short anecdotal typ excerpts and stories, sometimes in first-person, somtimes in third-person. At first I was worried that, because of this I would find it choppy. Instead I found it made the stories even easier to read. It is a book you could pick up and read for a few brief moments, or sink into. Regardless, the excepts and stories written in this format made for a fun departure from the traditional Disney anthology that can sometimes lumber on and loose a reader in details. This format allowed not only myself to enjoy it, as well as my nine-year-old son who picked it up to look atand quickly became engaged in the short stories and excerpts. Give this writting form a chance to grow on you and I think you will find it a different and enjoyable style of writting.

Second, let me say that I am a bit of a Disney freak. My wife and I travel to Disneyland three to four times a year, sometimes with our kids, often alone. We do this because of the happiness we find everytime we go to the park. We both work in professions that have a emotional demand on us, and require us to sometimes see an ugly side of people. I am a prosecutor, she is a counselor. Disneyland refreshes us. I found in this book to have much the same effect on me. While it has a historical component to it. The stories are approached in an uplifiting and inspirational way. The book reminds you of the good in people and the great things that can be accomplished by someone who sets out with a righteous goal. After having read it through the first time, I find myself picking it up often before bed for a shot of positiveness to end my day.

In sum this is a must read for any Disney fan, especially those wo love Disney because of the happiness it brings to them.

I ordered and received my 2 books within 24 hours of purchase, Thank You AMAZON! "Walt Dreamers Me" was referred by a group of friends who also love Disney. After I quickly read through the first chapter, I realized this book would also be a great for my boys. I have 3 sons; ages 5, 12, & 16. We began to read this book as a family. It is an easy read. The information shared by Mr. Cosgrove is very entertaining. From Disney history to his own personal experiences, this book has created some family discussions about work ethics, friendships, history, and overall life lessons. Thank you Joe for this WONDERFUL book.

The author could have written an interesting book, but instead writes about how great HE is and uses famous names to promote his own career. Disney fans do not waste your time and money on this book.

Joe Cosgrove's Walt Dreamers Me is an astonishing piece of Disney literature. It's funny, sweet, poignant, witty and charming-- sort of like Joe, himself... and certainly like Walt Disney himself. They both share these qualities.

It's a lovely addition to any Disney aficionado's Disney library, and the photos are top-notch and first-rate.

As a former Disneyland Cast Member and trainer of "newbies," I can verify that Joe understands the "Disney Way" of running a studio or a theme park, and he writes about it beautifully.

Walt Dreamers Me is an amazing glimpse at the life of one of the most interesting people to ever write a book on any subject. The format of this book makes it an easy read, the stories are entertaining and the use of photos (when needed) provide context. I have highly enjoyed reading this book and would suggest anyone reading this review purchase the book as well. I think I will read it again!

Mr. Cosgrove's book is an incredible read that took me back to my childhood! As a college student, I never realized how big of a part Disney played in my earlier years until reading Walt Dreamers Me. In this book, the Disney story is told in all the magic and brilliance that I remember! I particularly enjoyed reading of Walt's humble beginnings and how he built an entire magic kingdom by being resilient and working hard. Joe does an amazing job of reminding us that following our dreams and wishing upon a star are more than just story time ideas, they are attributes of successful people including the great Walt Disney.

The "news-like" format is perfect for my incredibly busy life, it's fun to be able to pick up the book for 5 or 10 minutes and learn some new fact I don't know or read some new story that I didn't know about before. My life gets stressful and exhausting trying to balance my college credits and part time work, but Walt Dreamers Me has helped me to find fun in my everyday life and remember the magical world of Disney.

Joe Cosgrove's Walt Dreamers Me is very entertaining, informative, and fun. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a life as busy as mine, that still loves the magic of the Walt Disney Story. I am starting on his next book about Joseph now!

Upon receipt of the book, just 15 minutes in and 5 chapters read- I couldn't put the book down!

Coming from a journalistic background, this literary work written in 'Breaking News' format succeeds in so many levels.

Disney fans alike will be thrilled with the factual data behind the origins of some of their favorite fairy tales yet will be delightedly surprised that the winning performance here, is the underlining theme of always dreaming big.

Indeed, author Joe Cosgrove offers in-depth insight into one of the most prolific characters in pop culture history: Walt Disney.

In fact, Cosgrove's first hand accounts with Walt will be a major draw factor for Disney fans.

However, it is the author's own journey and captivating perspective that insights inspiration and is the true driving force in these writings.

Readers will truly be enamored with this intricately informative yet easy ready about the formative years, its key founding members and of course Walt, of the world we now know as Disney.

Needless to say, I highly recommend this book to any young person in search of inspiration or a role model. This is so because unbeknownst to Cosgrove, it is he and not Walt who ultimately steals the show.
