If you have a problem coaxing your kids to read - Walter comes to the rescue. While being funny (all kids think the subject matter is funny) it is also a book that teaches kids a lesson about acceptance of those with minor flaws.

This book, one of a series, is absolutely wonderful for four to six- year-olds. They are all at the bodily functions stage of self-interest, and this book is howlingly funny.
Also, whilst they are giggling, the stories teach them moral values, ethics and the importance of good behaviour.
Our little girl, five years old, never wearies of being read, and reading her Walter books, and of squeezing her fleecy Walter the Farting Dog !
HIGHLY recommended.

Just OK. I thought it would be more clever. 4-year old enjoyed it a little more since she had just gotten the plush Walter for her birthday.

An incredible dog story for children. Funny too even for an adult mind. A simplified joy for dog story readers. Brilliant descriptions and use of the imagination. The story t gripped my attention from the opening chapter and retained it. It reminded me of other dog stories like I am Hated, White Fang, Call of the Wild. I generally enjoy dog Stories.

When I first saw the title of this book, I was intrigued and perhaps just a wee bit offended. After all, I AM somebody's grandmother. However, after reading and howling with delight I loosened up and chilled out. Walter's odious eructations are a natural bodily function, and in this story they saved the day! In the end (pun intended) even this uptight granny, who has a degree in early childhood and elementary education, had to admit that this lesson of self acceptance, even as one recognizes one's own flaws, has value. My four year old grandson will adore it, I am certain. I shall read him this book and we will laugh together. Everybody farts and everybody cries. And everybody laughs too!

An entertaining book for adults and children. Good for a laugh. More fun if you have the Walter the Farting Dog toy as well so he can loudly "air" his own views!

My 6 yr old grandson loved this book. He could not believe the word 'fart' was in it!

My 4 yr old grandson loves the book....So do I, because it's cleverly written and it makes him laugh

I went on a day trip with my grandson and took Walter along to read to him. We had a great time! This is a multi-level reading story book that should last several years. It also helped that I purchased Walter to go along with the book!

Ok so I did get this for my child along with the stuffed Walter because of the title. How can you go wrong with a dog with a gas problem.
Fun read for any age.
