This is the first meeting of five great musicians; Walter Smith, Ambrose Akinmusire, Aaron Goldberg, Matt Brewer and Marcus Gilmore. You can feel how connected more and more during the concert. In the beginiig they play a lot of solos but in the ends the empathy is total. The solos are greats, really greats. The sensations grows during the show. A very interesting concert and the sound is perfect.

This is a very good live jazz Cd. But, it's not toe-tapping jazz, it's the kind of jazz that you have to listen to the interplay between Mr. Smith and his trumpet player. Close your eyes and just listen as if you were there. This is for hard core jazz fans.
