I had one of these a long time ago and gave it away when we were cutting out foods like bacon. Now that we're having friends come to spend a weekend, I like to cook bacon for them, so I was so happy to learn I could buy another press. I love having glass vs metal so I can see the doneness of the bacon. I love that the press reduces grease splatter--on myself as well as the stove. One improvement, however, might be to include some instructions--mine came with no paperwork whatsoever but I already knew things like...mainly, avoiding temperature extremes--this isn't corningware. So always start out with the press on top of the raw bacon initially in skillet, and when the bacon is done, let the press cool down on its own because putting it under cold water might break it. You will have to turn the bacon once in order for it not to burn.

I bought this for my Dad, as he had said he likes his bacon DONE.....not rubbery. He said it's the best thing for cooking bacon all the way through as it makes the bacon flat! So he rates it as GREAT!!! (I might have to get me one now!)

The press works OK but after about two months the screw in the handle stripped out and I had to improvise a new one. They need to use a better quality of plastic on the handle.

Wonderful...I use it for everything including bacon. It is not too heavy for hamburgers either.

I have 2 square presses, one in glass one in aluminum with Teflon coating, but they just didn't work with my round pans - of course. this one works well in both my small and large skillet. It also helps cook the bacon faster as it both retains and conducts the heat. Also works well when grilling indoors.

Really nice & simple bacon press. I like the fact that it's glass so you can see your bacon cooking.

I'm on my 4th one and can't live without it when cooking bacon or needing some press-ure on a sandwich or whatever I've got cooking in a frying pan. Because it's glass you need to be VERY careful that you don't rinse it with cool/cold water until it has cooled down; otherwise it cracks.
