4.0 out of 5 stars East 17 - A Real Taste of Euro, December 28, 2002
By
Kaia (Tampa, Florida, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Walthamstow (Audio CD)
I listened to this CD when I was like 11 years old and I liked it the first time I heard it. It's a great CD but there are two different versions: the UK and US releases. The UK Release has the Guvnor's Mix of IT'S ALRIGHT and they are very different. Some of my favorite songs are LOVE IS MORE THAN A FEELING, Slow It Down, West End Girls (the Pet Shop Boys Classic with a 90's kick) and I Disagree. Try not to totally boo the music... but listen to the lyrics as well. Happy shopping!

3.0 out of 5 stars The begining of real greatness, May 31, 2001
By
"gonk34nd" (Sawbridgeworth, Herts United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Walthamstow (Audio CD)
This was the first album from English boy band "East 17". I have been a fan of the group all my life and although this is nowhere near their best work, it is still good and you can see where their later greatness comes from. Probably the best track on the album is "Alright", which it could be said is also one of their best songs ever and is one of my favorites. Other good tracks on the album include "Deep" and "House of Love". This only gets a 3/5 rating because most of the album lacks the real thought and meaningfulness that are evident in the later albums "Up All Night" and the magnificent "Steam". I would recommmend this to anyone who is a fan of the band or is interested in early 90's pop from the UK.
