This is a great CD! Mixed with speaking and beautiful singing from the cast, it's visiting the Walton's all over again. There are beautiful songs written by Jon Walmsley. One I recognized as a song I believe was used in a holiday Christmas commmercial last year.

I grew up with the Walton's and many aspects of the show reflect my own family life. I was delighted to receive this CD and have practically worn it out listening to it on my way back and forth to work. I highly recommend it to all Walton fans and to anyone who likes downhome goodness. It just leaves you with that warm fuzzy feeling.

I listened to the whole CD. Its sounds like the 40's version of music. I believe, that is what they were acheiving for. I would recommend this CD for everyone.

I purchased 4 copies of this a couple yrs ago & still listen to it,gave 3 as gifts & kept one for myself. excellant Applesauce cake recipe, i get lots of compliments on it when i bake it. Sure miss this series on tv,espically the early seasons before Olivia left & then later john boy. putting in a different actor to be john boy instead of Richard Thomas was completely stupid & that's when i stopped watching. tho still one of my favorite shows by far.
unlike todays tv & real life,where women feel the need to wear little if anything at all & leave nothing to the imagination,they also feel the need to be sexually active to attract a man,whether they marry or not. the young men who think its ok to be-little & talk about women as tho they were garbage. Would they feel the same if it was their mother or grandmother being talked about that way ?
just my thoughts about a better time when people cared about one another & enjoyed the simple things in life & didn't need a ton of electronic things to pass the time or enjoy themselves.

Not quite what we expected, but it fits right in with the timeless charm of the Walton's. Enjoyed most of the songs and the spoken tracks were great too. THanks for the memories...

Love the Waltons series and this CD is full of wonderful music, purchased an extra one to give as a gift this holiday season.

I love the CD.I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of The Waltons.The cast did a great job.

I remember a TV special with them singing but can not find it on DVD this is as close to it as I could get. Thanks. The CD was what I though it would be at the right price and came in on time. Again Thanks

This is a must for all fans of the show. It's unfortunate that it is being advertised that Will Geer and Ellen Corby also perform on it. The album is dedicated to them.
