Not sold as a toy!
This is a collectible doll, so it probably shouldn't even be included in the "toys" section. But Amazon doesn't have a specific catagory of "collectible dolls" so it ends up with other toys. Do not buy this for a young child! This is a doll intended, basically, for display. If you just have to get it for a child, keep it put up until that child is old enough to take...

Baby Doll
If you read the manufacturer's description, this product is not a toy. If is not designed for children; it is for display. While my daughter loves it, I would not recommend it for children. I'm not sure if it will hold up to her constant use.

Do not buy this for a young child! This is a doll intended, basically, for display. If you just have to get it for a child, keep it put up until that child is old enough to take care of it gently. That said, this is a beautiful little African-American, award-winning doll created by Master Doll Artist Waltraud Hanl. I have this doll (not bought on Amazon) and she is perfectly gorgeous. She has the So Truly Real "skin" that Ashton Drake uses on many of their better dolls. She's cuddly and looks good in lots of outfits, but will not enjoy (or survive, probably) being dragged around by the hair, etc.
