Needless to say I was very excited about the production of this video because it was based almost entirely upon my Ph.D. dissertation! I am featured in the documentary about six times in my red vest and white blouse talking about Landowska and her amazing feats as the story is woven in and out around that. I think that Attie, Goldwater, and Pontius did an excellent job with the historical footage and with getting Denise Restout to cooperate.It would be very sad indeed if Wanda Landowska's great work were to fade from the memory of today's or tomorrow's generation of harpsichordists and keyboardists in general. Perhaps this documentary can help to prevent that! |
