I found these originally in Uwajimaya's, but they were only seasonal. They come with the shell on, but it's pre-split, paper thin and easily peels off. The flavor is not quite like a roasted chestnut, these are Chinese for one thing, but they are great. I use them in cooking, often mashed as a sauce thickener, but I usually end up eating half the bag right away. They're almost too good!
