4.0 out of 5 stars Heavily overlooked concept March 7, 2004
Format:Audio CD
Once upon a time in the early 80's this album was available in the U.S., but was discontinued. It is pretty much a concept of the rock and roll lifestyle, and what a cd it is. If you like that AOR sound of the early 80's this is for you. The big hit of this album was the song My Girl with it's awsome vocals. It's one of those songs you might not recognize by title, but once you hear it you'll say "I remember that!". Great, refreshing cd overall. Has a few surprisingly heavy guitar songs on it. Give it a chance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something about this sound just sticks with you June 1, 2006
Format:Audio CD
This is a good collection from the late 70's/early 80's for those moments when you want to listen to something that will keep your mind occupied. These songs have some really memorable & inspired lyrics and arrangements. "Sign Here" begins with contract language recited as a Gregorian chant. "Walk On" is good for when you've had a setback and need a little pep talk in a minor key. "Live for a Living" has a defiant ring that is perfect for when you feel aggravated at work and need a harmless release. The others are similarly interesting and good for when you are in a "mood" and need to be distracted. A little cynical, wry, with occasional bursts of optimism (see "I Believe" and the haunting refrain of "My Girl"). Once you have really listened to it, you will find it popping up in your head years later and want to hear it again. Glad to see it has made it to CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chilliwack "(So You) Wanna Be A Star" August 26, 2012
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Greatest CD ever recorded by an all Canadian rock band and to mention besides all their other classic songs Chilliwack is an all time favorite along with, Brian "Too Loud" McCloud guitarist with another great Vancouver band he played with "Headpins"

5.0 out of 5 stars Guilty Pleasure! July 16, 2007
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
My wife cringes, but I just grin! This was in heavy rotation in my Chrysler Newport during high school in Florida. "I Believe" may be one of the best heavy petting songs ever. (If only I had a girlfriend at the time...)
