Classic Party Song!,
By M Anthony (Washington DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' (MP3 Download)
I had to really LOL when a reviewer below said the song is "boring". This is a classic club song! Play this in any club or party and everyone knows it, and everyone dances to it. And suprisingly enough, it doesnt seem to matter the age group. When you are at a party and this song come to the end "Mama say Mama Sah Ma Ma Ku Sah" EVERYBODY is clapping their hands and singing and no one knows what it means! This is far from boring!RIP MJ

Starting Something...,
By Amaranth "music fan" (Northern California) - See all my reviews

"Wanna be startin' somethin'" is an '80s classic from "Thriller",the bestselling album of all time. It's a peppy song. It's a staple on R&B/soul stations. It evokes the exuberant innocence of the '80s. The late Michael Jackson also added something new to the pop mix... at the end,he samples from Cameroon musician Manu Dibango's "Soul Makossa." He brought in world music, before it became trendy. ("Soul Makossa" is a great piece, one can hear why Jackson liked it) "Wanna be startin' somethin'",when it came to Jackson's life, ended too soon.

this song is just genius, the base and drum line might be but it's the melody in the verses and choruses taht change . How many brilliant songs do that? this song is just plain genius like most of MJ songs
