If you're already an Elvises fan, and want to complete your collection, this is definitely a good investment. It's bizarre to hear familiar favorites like "Rocketman" and "Sad Cowboy Song" translated into Russian (or rewritten, as is the case for "Sad Cowboy Song" - it's now about the lambada or something), but fun. And Igor's singing in Russian sounds thoroughly cool. I enjoy it a lot, but wouldn't recommend it for a first Elvises buy.

The quality of the lyrics in Red Elvises' native tongue is far superior to the same songs in English. I'd like to see them release more albums in Russian (which Oleg promises me they plan to do). Otlichno, rebyata!

Aside from the fact the Red Elvises already make some of the more interesting "surf rock" available, due in part to their funky ethnic and disco twists, when they write in their native russian they rise above their occaisonally stilted english lyrics.

This album has taken up permanent residence in my car's changer. It's catchy, it's varied, there's confidence behind the russian lyrics...very well done.

If you are looking for a Bellydance CD, this IS NOT. There is one song on the CD "I wanna see you Belly Dance" that is fun for a croud pleaser, but that's it. Read the other reviews to see what the CD is about. They do a great job of describing it. Don't buy if you thnk it's a Belly Dance CD.
