5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Spice
This was the song that got them going,a huge seller from The Spice Girls. They had a string of hits from 1997 to 2000.Its amazing how many hits they had in such a short period of time. This is another i often listen to.They weren't around for very long, but they did produce some classic songs.

3.0 out of 5 stars The 'Spice' in Spice Girls is losing it's flavor
I personally think that the Spice Girls have lost it after Geri left. So much for "all for 1 & 1 for all" Geri or no Geri, the girls can & will go on. As for my opinion, I think there albums have lost their fans here in WW, OK. Oh well...

Wannabe is a legendary track. I love the B-Side track Bumper To Bumper. It really brings out their voices, and I love the way Victoria sings really low. The remix is also pretty good.

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME DEBUT SINGLE, April 18, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Wannabe [UK CD1] (Audio CD)
The Spice Girls have debuted in the music industry with this wicked sounding single "Wannabe" which has sat at #1 in the UK for 7 weeks. The beat is a little bit too addictive and the sales have shown exactly what people thought of the single. Let's have a synopsis, shall we?

1) WANNABE (RADIO EDIT)- Brilliant, but simple, blend of pop and rap. The lyrics are very easy and the girls have great voices to display. It's not a very long song, as it does not top even the 3 minute mark. This song got massive amounts of air play back in 96 and 97 and this is probably the girls' most memorable hit.

2) BUMPER TO BUMPER- The exclusive B-Side of this single which is awesome. I don't understand why it didn't make it to the album. It is a great pop song with a touch of R&B. It's a definite feel-good song. Although it didn't make it to the album, it was perfect for the single.

3) WANNABE (VOCAL SLAM)- This remix of Wannabe is an upbeat, techno-like mix. It's okay to listen to, but it's not a dance song at all. It's fast listening, which makes it sort of hard to like. On a perfect single, this mix would have been either a club mix or something in that order.

This single is absolutely awesome and should definitely be considered for picking up if you're a fan of pop/rap or if you are a big fan of the song "Wannabe."

5.0 out of 5 stars Wannabe, the only CD you need to become a Spice Girls Fan!, June 12, 2000

Wannabe is the first single ever released from the Spice Girls. The single you are about to order is NOT the original single. The original single has the same cover as Say You'll Be There and only has 2 songs: Wannabe (single edit) & Bumper To Bumper. This is the new UK Version. The Inside of the CD Sleeve says: WANTED - anyone with a sense of fun, freedow and adventure hold tight get ready girl power is comin' at you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it for BUMPER TO BUMPER, February 3, 2002

Spice Girls ruled the charts back-in-the-day and paved the way for many more bubble gum pop stars such as Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, N Sync (who now seem to tell lies about how they're "original" but that's not the point of my review), Christina Aguilera etc. I bought this CD of course for the hit single, "Wannabe." I loved it and still do. BUT the true gem on this CD (not available on SPICE from where "Wannabe" came from) is "Bumpter To Bumper." This song rocks! I don't know why but it's my favorite Spice Girls song next to "2 Become 1." If you're looking for another cool single to buy check out their most recent "Holler." It is somewhat similar to this tight song! BUMPER TO BUMPER ALL THE WAY!!!
