I Want to Be an Engineer I bought this book for my 8 year old grandson. He loves to play with Leggos and blocks. He read it and thought becoming an engineer might just be want he wants to do!

Great introduction to engineering for school kids,

This book is somewhat dated (from 1997) but it is a great introduction to the world of engineering. It talks about various types of engineering, education and training, and some history of engineering. I am an engineer and I bought this book to not only read to my children, but to take to elementary classrooms when I visit to do an occassional engineering activity with students.
