You Know You Want It, April 7, 2007
This review is from: Want Me, Want Me (Audio CD)
This is the last retailed single from her album Queen of Hip-Pop. Personally, it's one of my favorite songs from the album and if you listen to it, you'll understand why. Want Me, Want Me is an addictive pop song that will have you dancing when you hear it. Although it's kind of dirty, it didn't really affect album sales.
1. Want Me, Want Me: This song is incredible. Using a cool sitar simple strung throughout the song, Namie sings her dirtiest song to date. She sings "want me, want me, hajiketobu/mune no botan aserisugite/wait a minute, chotta matta, etc." If you're not afraid to get a little sexual, this song is definitely worth the listen.
2. Want Me, Want Me [Instrumental]: Not much here except for the music. Normally, an instrumental of a song wouldn't really interest me but I think this one is worth the purchase. If you like singing kareoke, then this is for you. You get to hear the looming sitar sample without any vocal accompaniment so that could be a plus for you. I prefer it with the vocals but it's still good without them.
3. Want Me, Want Me PV: The PV for Want Me, Want Me is one of my favorite Namie videos to date. It's pretty simple as it features Namie dancing in an undisclosed location with some dancers. I must say Namie is a really good dancer and this PV shows no exception. While it's not extravagant or amazingly detailed, it supports the song very well and you watch it over and over again to learn those great dance moves.
