From the Back Cover

What would you do, if you were kidnapped by a little green man, and taken billions of light years away from the only home you have ever known?
What would you say, when you were told, that you, an ordinary mortal, were actually the last in a royal line of valiant Heroes, foreordained to save all creation?
How would you feel, if you were then granted the greatest power, ever bestowed upon a mortal...a power which could not be taken from you?
...now imagine that they made a mistake.

They grabbed the wrong person.

More About the Author

As a husband and father of 11 children, Jaime Buckley is no stranger to kids or storytelling. With a passion for showing youth their incredible potential, Jaime started telling stories of Wendell P. Dipmier: The awkward young man who became a hero by accident.

In 2005, WANTED:HERO went live online. In 2006, after 12 comics and two graphic novels, resurfacing hand injuries prevented Jaime from making further comics. He watched as the readership in 60+ countries declined over time, calling for a comic book he could no longer deliver.

In 2010, Jaime's daughter and wife finally encouraged him to rebuild the dream by returning and committing to the full story in novel form. Both Jaime and Kathi (as editor) worked diligently on the first installment (Prelude to a Hero), hoping the reaction from readers would be favorable.

When NY Times Best Selling Author David Farland read the first draft, he encouraged the Buckley's concerning WANTED:HERO. "This should be a series," he said. "A long series."

In a personal interview, Buckley said, "Kids are the best part of life. We adults underestimate their potential and in the end, sell them short. Not all parents realize that if you simply show a child or youth their true potential, they're hidden brilliance is more likely to shine through...and they'll be unstoppable. That is why I write. That is why I try to encourage every little child or young adult I meet--because they matter.

WANTED:HERO was written for them. When they read it, they understand why."

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, quirky, and a whole lot of fun., August 8, 2006
This review is from: Wanted: Hero - No Experience Necessary... (Paperback)
Wendell is kidnapped by little green man, flown billions of light years from earth, and told that he wields unimaginable power. His captors think that he is the last in a line of royal heroes, foreordained to save the universe. The problem is that they've got the wrong guy! I haven't seriously looked at any comic books since my teenage years, decades ago, yet picked this one up on a friend's recommendation. Three pages later I was hooked! Excellent drawings, quirky adventures, and a wicked sense of humor make this outstanding collection uniquely entertaining. Highly recommended reading!!
