5.0 out of 5 stars Can't get enough of this CD June 22, 2000

Format:Audio CD
This is great classic Jimmy Cliff with all his classic sounds. All 24 songs are GREAT. The song titled Vietnam is a song I and you will never get sick of. There are so many great songs and sounds on this CD, where if you are a reggae fan you must have it. If you like Bob Marley you will love Jimmy Cliff.

4.0 out of 5 stars excellent primer September 19, 2000
Format:Audio CD
This is one of the better "best of" packages out there for Jimmy Cliff, encompassing the important songs that helped to shape his career and legacy.
You get the ususal cast of suspects for a best of disc on Cliff-"Vietnam," "Many Rivers to Cross," "Hard Road to Travel," and "Hello Sunshine," (though the fact that "The Harder They Come" isn't on here sticks out like a sore thumb).
For me, I am happy to see many of Cliff's lesser known great hits on here, such as "Those Good Good Old Days," and "Better Days Are Coming, " both from the amazing "Struggling Man" lp.
Despite the lack of "The Harder they Come," this 2 cd set is an excellent introduction to the work of one of reggae's heroes, Jimmy Cliff.
