Wanted - Movie Edition is not a Wanted - Movie Edition,
This review is from: Wanted - Movie Edition (Paperback)
Please know that THIS IS NOT THE MOVIE! I dont even know why they bothered to make a "Movie Edition" The only thing this book has in common with the movie is the cover. The Wanted movie pretty much in no way resembles the comic. This is probably the greatest stretch in comic to movie adaptations ever made. Literally! The movie has two characters that are in the comic. Wesley Gibson and Fox. Fox not being ANYTHING in the movie how she is in the comic and Wesley being a bit of a stretch himself. The only other character that makes an appearance is "Wesley Gibsons father" which not to ruin it for anyone... isnt even the same character in the movie that he is in the comic. And as far as the story goes, about the first couple pages of the book make it into the movie (and not accuratley) and the rest is COMPLETELY different. Now Im not complaining because I love the movie and I love Mark Millar just know this IS NOT the movie! If you enjoyed the movie and you are looking for a comic adaptation you will not find it. Im a huge comic fan and I watch pretty much all the comics to movie adaptations and am entirely disappointed in almost all of them. But the Wanted comic to movie is so different you cant even compare them... like AT ALL. So if you like Mark Millar (Kick-Ass), have seen Wanted (the movie) and want to read some more of his original stuff go ahead and get this... just know (again) that what you are buying is not the movie in any way shape or form.

mark millar th his best,
This review is from: Wanted - Movie Edition (Paperback)
totally awesome. maybe 5-10 pages are the same as the movie with Angelina Joliet (yeah I liked the movie) then it turns 180 degrees and you get great comics about super villains.
i loved Mark Millars Kick Ass but this one is even better. gritty and gory take on superheroes. HIHGHLY RECOMMENDED.

With the original "Wanted" stories by Mark Millar and artwork by J.G. Jones, and the extra material provided for the movie addition, which includes interviews with the cast members and director, comic character/movie counterpart comparisons, and new poster style artwork by J.G. Jones, makes for a terrific graphic novel experience.

Lotta folks being kind to the movie...,

I'm not gonna be. I thought, with the exception of Jolie, the movie was a complete waste of time. It really should have a different name because its not the same story, not even close. Great book though, the only thing it has in common with the movie is the cover...
