Book Description

Contains adult content and language.
Verbally abused by her mother for years, 18-year-old Ellie Johnson always believed she would never be loved or wanted by anyone. She focused all of her attention on her grades and getting into the University of Texas to start a new life away from her mother.

The last thing Ellie expected was to fall in love with Gunner Mathews, a starting linebacker for the University of Texas football team and not to mention, her brother's best friend.

Gunner only has two passions in life, football and his grandfather’s ranch, until he falls for his best friends little sister. He will stop at nothing to show Ellie how much he wants her, even if it means he has to move faster than she would like.

Gunner knows they are meant to be together forever, but Ellie keeps denying her feelings out of fear of being hurt again. Every time he gets close to winning her love, something pushes her away again. Will Ellie ever be able to let go of the past and let him into her heart, and will Gunner be patient enough to wait for her?

What will it take for them to realize they are all each other have ever WANTED?

3.0 out of 5 stars really annoyed April 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I was so looking forward to this book. I am so annoyed at the skipping around in time and not explaining different aspects of each relationship. Jeff and Ari deserved a book of their own - as did Ellie and Gunner and Josh and Heather. The cliffhanger was just plain mean. There were many typos, grammatical errors, and run on sentences - usually I can over look them but it was hard since I as already annoyed with the skipping around from character to character and skipping months ahead. My advice is not to read this book until the third one is release because you will end up as frustrated as I am.

1.0 out of 5 stars AWFUL May 18, 2013
By Becks
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book was awful. I read all the time. Usually around a book a week. I couldn't even get through 20% of this book on my Kindle. I hate that I even had to give it one star. This is the first time I've ever returned a book on kindle. Not to get too repetitive of the other poor reviews, but the characters were weak and whiney, there were way too many exclamation points and the incessant swearing was laughable. The relationship Ellie has with Jeff is borderline incestuous. I have a brother who is 6 years younger than me and I've never used those terms of endearment on him. Also, what college student uses the word "sweetheart" that much? Get real! (If the author is reading this, the exclamation point I just used was an appropriate time for one just for your future reference.)

Couldn't imagine wasting my time reading this whole book. I would rather someone beat me over the head with the hard copy of it. It would be less torturous.

Good followup to Wanted EXCEPT for epilogue. The problem is with the grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors. Please have a proof reader for your next book

MAKE IT STOP!!!! Ellie is needy and Gunner is over the top annoying...He sounds hot, but the pet names and mushy-ness have to STOP!!!

I don't know if it's the young age of the characters or the immaturity of the writer, but all the cussing reminds me of a teenager who's finally getting away from their parents and thinks it's cool to cuss. I have a potty mouth, but there's a time and place for cussing, for a punch line, to prove a point, etc...but every other word is ridiculous...And if someone "threw their head back and laughed" one more time, I think I may have thrown my Kindle!!! Also, I'm from Texas, and I have a hard time believing that Gunner's, or anyone's grandparents use this kind of profanity. They were just raised during a different time and it takes away from the story. Maybe this is just for a younger audience, but it was hard to overlook all the cussing, grammatical errors and repetitive character behaviors.
After reading all the 4 and 5 star reviews, I can tell WHY these people liked the book...Their reviews were either one liners or it was one BIG run-on sentence with no punctuation. Just put a hash tag in front of your review next time and eliminate using the space bar altogether...

I don't know if I'll be reading the second book. So want my money back on this one!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Um.. December 10, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
How come every other sentence has the word um in it? Made the book very annoying.

The story line is good. Just wish there would have been less cursing and use of the word um.

1.0 out of 5 stars Painful January 5, 2013
By Bri
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I wish there was a 0 star rating because this book was horrible. My 1 star is for how hot Gunner sounded. I couldn't even read the entire thing. When I read the description and all the reviews, I became excited cause I'm a hopeless romantic but this book hurt me. The writing was horrible. It didn't make me feel like I was reading a book, it made me feel like I was reading an 11 year old's journal. And the exclamation marks! My word! There's a fine line between being excited or whatever and being annoying and the character / author didn't just cross it but jumped straight over it. And when her brother and love interest kept calling her "Honey" and "Sweetheart", I will admit that I started feeling uncomfortable. Maybe if I read the entire thing, my review would be different but I couldn't subject myself to that. Buy the book if you like cause you may end up liking it but you may also end up cringing after the first few chapters like me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful! December 4, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The description of this book looked so promising, but I was majorly disappointed. My major problems with this book:

1. The author must have went to the Tina Reber school of punctuation. The excessive exclamation points were really annoying.

2. Swearing almost never bothers me in a book. But there was so much, it was just distracting. Even the the 70 year old grandparents were constantly dropping F-bombs.

3. Ellie had the maturity of a 12 year old. Stupidly over-reacting at every turn.

4. Gunner was the only character that had potential for me. But eventually, his frequent crying and generally acting like a wuss had me turning on him too.

5. Jeff and Ari. Dear god, about 1/4 of the way through the book I was praying for a murder-suicide with these two. Ugh!

6. This book needed only to be about half a long as it was.

My advice is to save your money!
