I personally thought they looked cheap . The style is awesome but the leather looks like plastic.
And after wearing them for a week the sole separated. I guess you get what you pay for.. the price is hard to beat just go easy on them!

I've had these boots for about 4 years, and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. I've worn them through hikes and all over various cities. There is a wood looking veneer type thing on the heel that began to separate. I just superglued it back on. It's not really noticable. Comfortable and keep me warm. I believe I have a size 8.5, which was larger than my other 8.5 shoes, but it leaves plenty of space for thick socks.

After many hour researching boots online, I finally decided on these. Other reviews I read online noted the material looked cheap and more distressed than as it looks in the photos. However, my boots look just like the photo (a very dark brown) and I am very pleased with the look of the material. The laces and buckles are all functional. The lace-up detail is great for me, since I have slightly wider calves (about 14" in diameter). The laces are difficult to keep tied in a bow, but I just tie mine in a square knot and tuck the ends into the boot, which holds fine for me. The tongue covers nicely and doesn't leave any gaps. The sole is nice and flexible, with a good rubber lugged sole which is not too heavy or too bulky-looking. The shoe does fit a bit snug in the foot for me, but I have slightly wider feet. I usually wear a 7.5 and I ordered an 8, which fits nicely, even with a pair of wool socks on. These boots come all the way up to the bottom of my kneecap. I am 5'3" but I guess I must have short shins! Overall this boot is very nice, even if it isn't leather, and the price just can't be beat, especially with the customizable laces and buckles! If you are looking for a fairly inexpensive, non-leather boot that is well-made, well-priced and practical, then this is the boot for you!

I bought these for my wife. They are very nice. Need I say sexy. They are very complimentary. When she needs a boot that just has a bit more stand out. We Bought the Akira tall boot also which is lace up the front. My wife has very slim legs and it is hard to find boots that fit (I don't want to say these are snug just right - a little loose) She has very slim legs. The quality is fine for not being leather. I mean when she buys boots they don't last forever anyways. So why spend $100 dollars or more for something that maybe you'll get a couple of years out of. These are not a everyday wear but you could a few days a week. Which is what she has done since the fall 2010 it's now mid March 2011 she even wears them in the snow. WOW I've never heard so many comments. It is every time she has them on. Even today she had the Akira on and the girl at TJ MAX said she loved her boots. Last time She was in Marshalls and a woman came up and asked her to be her fashion consultant to show her how to dress. BINGO> Thats why I love them. KEEP UP THE GREAT FASHION BOOTS WANTED!

I knew buying a pair of boots less then a $100 was risky, but they looked so cool! and I knew they were just for fun, plus I had to try out the lace ups being in back. I thought the material looked fine, it was soft and molded well to my calves, which is another thing I was happy about, that the tongue wasn't sewn in, so they fit over my size 16 calves =0 I bought the brown and the black ones, and I have to say, they look exactly the same. The brown is so dark, its only a teeny tiny shade lighter then the black. I liked the black, they seemed to fit better then the brown, and the brown not quite being brown, not really black, ended up just looking cheap, in comparison. I'm returning both, since I was on here, looking for brown boots. I'm going to try the tan ones, we'll see how that goes. I read a reviewer's description of another pair of boots on here, and she said "they tapped into her tough, kick ass, "ripley" side" :) these boots do that for me too. Theyre worth trying.

I have tried a TON of knee high boots, trying desperately to find something that will fit over my calves. I'm a runner, so my calves are about 15 inches around at the widest. These boots have been the only ones that have fit! The fact that the lace up allows you to adjust the size is awesome. So not only do they fit my legs, but I can still tuck jeans or leggings into them as well without a struggle.

I agree with other posters that they run small. I read the reviews before I ordered and selected a 5. size up. I usually wear a 7.5 and purchased an 8. It fits perfectly; not too big, not too small, and I can wear regular socks with them.

AND, they look super hot. I like the 'tumbled' look of the leather, and that they look a bit more worn in. They are also not stiff like some boots are, and it's easy to flex my ankles around inside them. Others wrote that they look cheap, but they don't look cheap to me at all. In fact, several people that have asked how much they cost were surprised at the price, and assumed that they were much more expensive.

All in all, a great purchase for the price and I would get them again. The only reason I marked this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the sizing issue, because you have to do some research to get the right size. As long as you read the reviews beforehand and order up a size, you won't be disappointed.

Also a bonus, super fast shipping! I received these less than 24 hours after I placed my order.

I originally bought these at a cheap shoe store, like bare feet shoes. I own the blacks ones and I have worn the hell out of these things. For "cheap" boots, these have held up pretty awesome. I've seen some comments about them looking cheap - the black ones are perfectly fine. If these were leather, you wouldn't be paying such a low price (people are silly). I also saw something about them running extremely small? Get a half size up and you will be just fine. Unless you weight more than 300lbs and require a geriatric wheelchair, you aren't going to have a problem with these. They also lace up the back. I am average size and have muscular calves and have not 1 issue with these boots. I actually came on amazon to re-purchase them because I cannot stand the loss of the other pair I have here that I've abused into needing to be replaced (3 years of heavy use so please explain how THAT is cheap). Thankfully, amazon had them! Will be getting all the colors!!!

TThis is my second pair of Wanted boots and once again they look awesome despite my itty bitty calves. I also own (and have worn to near oblivion) a pair of Wanted Queen boots. Although neither have sinched up enough to fit my calves tightly, the design of both boots hide that fact well and look great. A pleasant surprise since boots I try on at the mall always look ridiculous. Note that Wanted doesn't have realistic looking leather. It looks like brushed plastic but it is very durableand comfortable. I should ill think they look great and I constantly get compliments on these boots so it's safe to say others agree.

This is my third pair of these shoes, brown. I loved the first pair; they lasted me 2 Chicago winters, were waterproof and warm. I love the lace-up detail along the calf, which is functional and allows you to tailor the fit to your leg, eliminating the potential baggy-ankle. I was so pleased I purchased them again, only to have the sole separate from the rest of BOTH shoes within a week. This pair does not seem to have that problem (it's been one month). If they hold up, I would change the rating to 4 stars; for the price they're a good deal.

I purchased these because some other reviews had said they were tight around the calf. It's not true, at least in the size that I ordered. I got a size 8, and I'm 5'2" and 102 lbs. My calves are skinny, and these are GIANT at the top opening. Even with jeans on they look really silly. Just a recommendation for those short girls with tiny calves attempting to find boots that don't look rediculous - don't get these. Otherwise the quality and look is quite nice.
