Lori Foster has done it again!,

This review is from: Wanton (Blaze) (Harlequin Temptation) (Paperback)
Lori Foster has done it again! WANTON is a hilarious and sensual romance. Alec is a deliciously yummy hero while Celia is a precocious blend of sex kitten and childish wonder. If you like your romances sizzling hot and filled with rowdy good fun, WANTON is for you.

What a great read! I had previously read Lori Foster's book "Begiled" and was happy to see a sequel to that story. Unfortunately, "Wanton" went by way, way too fast ... I wanted more of Alec. I loved his sensuality, gentleness and even his overbearing protectiveness towards Celia. I even fell in lust with the man drawn on the cover. What a delicious, gorgeous, tempting man! Wouldn't we all love to have someone like Alec. As for Celia, for once a heroine that wasn't a nit-wit. I enjoyed her stuborness and I especially loved how Alec taught her not to be embarassed by her sensuality, to allow herself to be comfortable and honest with who she is - perhaps something we can all take into consideration.

Looking For A Good Read?,

If you're looking for a good read, then look elsewhere. Not only is the characterization weak, but this is a Blaze that barely sizzles.

I love it when the heroine thinks SHE'S too easy and the hero knows HE'S too hard. This book sizzles.

Lori Foster has written a charmer..!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Wanton (Blaze) (Harlequin Temptation) (Paperback)
WANTON, the sequel to the exciting BEGUILED is a blazing romantic suspense starring two enchanting characters. The sparks between Celia and Alec first surface in the previous novel, but turns into an inferno in this tale. The story line is entertaining, as sub-genre fans will relish the antics of the lead protagonists. Lori Foster has written a charmer that will send the audience seeking her other works, especially BEGUILED.

Maybe back in 1999 it was hot but now it only sputters,

"Indecisive, aren't we? Well, I think I want to tell you anyway." That's kind of how this book goes. Celia is quite the wimp, trying to stand on her own two feet but struggling. Alec is quite happy telling her what to do - even Angel tells him to lay off the bullying.
About the only interesting thing is the backstory. Human trafficing is still a huge problem and this book address some of the ways that young women get lured into bad situations.

They say opinions vary, but boy are those off the mark! WANTON was an excellent book. Full of emotion, tension, and HEAT. And characterization--These people were more real than half my neighbors. I liked this book enough to give it my Reviewer's Choice award. I don't give that to just anyone!
