5.0 out of 5 stars STAR WARS AND MACK IN VIETNAM, November 30, 2007
By
This review is from: War Born (Mack Bolan) (Paperback)

A very good entry for the 20th anniversary year of Mack Bolan: a tightly written plot dealing with traitorous activity involving 'star wars' technology, the quest for a half American-Vietnamese child to the tune of 3,000,000 dollars, Russian KGB involvement, and a return to automag fire power from Mr. Bolan, the executioner.

Starting off as a protective presence in the life of a government mogul, Mack soon senses another sub-plot is involved. So Mack and Brognola with help from Stony Man, Virginia, hit the computers. Pretty confused at first but events eventually begin to clear up the important from the unimportant. A very interesting book written by Mel Odum, author of many of these action/adventure books, that provides a not only a perplexing plot but one which will keep the average reader guessing.

As with all of the GOLD EAGLE books relating the adventures of Mack Bolan, this is a very worthwhile read. The subject of 'star wars tech' from the President Reagan years does somewhat date the story, but hey, it was written almost 20 years ago.

Good reading from Mel Odum and Mack Bolan. Keep those GOLD EAGLE books coming off the presses. I have several shelves full of them and still welcome more.

Semper Fi.
