A pleasant change to get a decent, stand-alone fantasy novel. Perhapsurban fantasy lends itself to that more. A normal human, unaware of some of his heritage or the realms around him, is summoned by a young fairy into a dangerous other world, and must learn to cope. Politics, power and a conspiracy are at the heart of this novel of a different sort of Faerie. |
