THE ENDER UNIVERSE
Ender's Series: Ender Wiggin: The finest general the world could hope to find or breed.
Ender's Shadow Series: Parallel storylines to Ender’s Game from Bean: Ender’s right hand, his strategist, and his friend.
The First Formic War Series: One hundred years before Ender's Game, the aliens arrived on Earth with fire and death. These are the stories of the First Formic War.
The Authorized Ender Companion: A complete and in-depth encyclopedia of all the persons, places, things, and events in Orson Scott Card’s Ender Universe.
Adding to the ever-growing Enderverse, Card provides listeners with an amusing and sincere tale about religious observance just in time for the holidays. Like all Battle School students, Zeck has been torn from his family and religion to train in a school in outer space. Passively resisting his environment, Zeck must find a way to reconcile his beliefs with his actions and learn new things about himself that will challenge the life he knew. With Brick's lighter tone complementing Rudnicki's deep resonating voice, the two make an excellent pair as narrators. Often, their parts are split according to point of view, so that Brick narrates aspects of the story from the vantage point of Zeck and the other students while Rudniki embodies the adults, especially the militaristic leaders at the Battle School. Mostly, this shifting back and forth is done by sections of the book, and not in characters exchanging dialogue. However, very abruptly at one point in the story, the director decided to have Brick and Rudnicki exchange dialogue. If this were the standard throughout, it may well have worked, but since it happened only once and in mid-discussion between two characters, it feels out of place.

I was surprised when I reached the end of this book. (Kindle edition) very short, and I expected more.Published 1 month ago by Mark D. Corkery
I always enjoy reading more about Ender's life and this is a gem. Makes me want to read all the titles again and I suggest Enders Shadow, Beans story, as well.Published 5 months ago by Kindle Customer
A short story really that takes place in Battle School that adds color and depth to the Ender-verse. Enjoyable while also thought provoking.Published 6 months ago by G. Ash Barrios
This is a quick read - large print and spaced out. It's really a novella and not a full blown novel. That said it fills in some gaps in Ender's story at Battle School. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Granny
