C.H. Clotworthy is a New Orleans native who has lived abroad and traveled extensively during his career. He has had the good fortune to meet many peoples of varying cultures and has explored many myths and folktales of those peoples.

Mr. Clotworthy has been fascinated with the supernatural and is reputed to have experienced the mystical on more than one occasion.

This is a wonderful first outing for Charles Clotworthy. The story and charactors are just plain fun. In fact, the humor that is contained in this book is a real surprise. Wait till you get a hold of the Ghost! What a kick. My only complaint is that the book wasn't longer. There had better be a sequel! I highly recommend this book for those of you who just want to enjoy a fun story.

When my friends asked what kind of book War of the Light is, I said "action fantasy", they said that wasn't a type of book, I said "it is now!"
The protagonists face a very timely evil; their special abilities make it possible for good to triumph over evil. Girl meets boy, romance ensues---good stuff happens. A far from spooky ghost adds a delightfully humorous light touch. The settings are believable enough to serve as a `must go visit' tourist guide. The food descriptions make one long for a New Orleans kitchen staffed by loving cooks. I could see, smell, taste and feel the action in this book. The characters are people I'd like to get to know better.Interestingly believable descriptions of psychic activities.
Great first novel, hope sequels are in the works.

If you're looking for a page-turner, "War of the Light" is IT! In his debut novel, Clotworthy combines several genres and the result is an entertaining ride that will keep you reading until that last page is turned. This author breathes fresh air into the good vs. evil formula, and you will definitely want that sequel to follow posthaste!
