war 1980
i like it for it being old as it is, it's old footage'' if you all want something new,, then buy something new with better sound'' for that time of year it was made in'' it's ok!

Same Concert as FUNKIN Live in ENGLAND!!!!
I'm a big WAR fan since the mid 70's...their Live 2 disk set is great! I was hoping for more of the same...it's not a bad concert since this was in the 80's. My gripe I also ordered WAR Live in Halifax 80's. One does not list the songs, so it seems like 2 different show, but they it is the SAME Concert!!! I feel ripped off.....this comes in in a better jacket is all.

I was at these set of concerts in UK. This is 1980 during the Music Band era for War , just as Music Band 2 was released. This isnt a good dvd to represent this band fully. The sound Quality is poor , wrong track listings on DVD .....list songs that they didnt do. I feel that this is a cash-in dvd by a group of amateurs , looking to get money out of people wanting to see this band just as they were waining. There is also another DVD out but it is the EXACT same concert. Would have been better with a gig from 70's when B.B.Dickerson and Charles Miller were in band , ie original line up. This dvd is only for die-hards who will collect most WAR stuff. If looking to hear band for uninitiated just get Greatest hits or Live 1973 for a listen to them in concert. Check out the real band on www.lowriderband.com the WAR that are around now arent original players except Lonnie Jordan . Lowrider band has B.B.Dickerson , Lee Oskar , Howard Scott and Harold Brown.

Man....poorly made dvd for War fans......sound jumps to low then high volume that is......they could have spent some time making a better dvd, but if your a War fan then I suppose you can add it to your collection....

Glad to have this. It is history. Only problem it's post-BB Dickerson who was responsible for writing much of War's original output. Still a very good performance. And what a joy to see Papa Dee Allen in action.
