A book which documents, in words and pictures, the multifaceted and long-term impact of indiscriminate landmine warfare on civilian communities. The focus of the study is Cambodia and within it one particular district, Rattanak Mondul, in Battambang province. The book covers the history of landmining in Cambodia and through case studies and hard-hitting photographs, provides a powerful case for the banning of landmine warfare. Cambodians are not the world's only victims of landmines and in Rae McGrath's chapter, the author surveys the global effects of landmining. This precedes a chapter exploring the legal aspects of landmining warfare.
