keep your next rainy week-end!,
By Marie Berthiau (Dijon) - See all my reviews
This review is from: War and Peace (Early Best Sellers) (Library Binding)
Forgot the bloody non-reader that always say "it's too long" " dusty book just good for literature's teachers", etc. War and peace is just a really good book and you can't classifing its author! First, it's a book of love, passion and firsts excitements. But it is not a rose-water novel, it's a suspense's one. You gasp with the famous characters and learn the price, sometimes too heavy, of Peace. Because there is the War. Why? You do not really know. But who known? And the War is a catalyst of the real expression of personality. With their remorses and regrets, the characters grow up. You will cry and laugh, sometimes in the mean time. And please, don't search a phylosophical meaning in this story, just take advantage of it! So keep your next rainy week-end; turn on your answer machine; say to your friends that you're not at home; put your alarm-clok to thinh to eat and dive in the story because when you will begin, you won't stop before the end! And after... read Anna Karenine!
