WAR AND SPACE appears in its first volume to offer selected short stories by Leser Del Rey, part of a two-volume series. This volume offers his space opera and post-apocalyptic fiction - including the winning 'Nerves' which later became a full novel, and includes 29 stories with an introduction by giant Frederik Pohl. It's a rare treat to have these short stories - many widely scattered and hard to find elsewhere - under one cover, and any serious science fiction collection needs this.
