Disturbing...,
By A Reader (the United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The War on Terror (For the Common Man) (Hardcover)
This was a short book that initially left me unimpressed - two or three stars at best. The disturbing part of this book was that I couldn't walk away. I read it again and again. Each time the book seemed to have evolved. I'm currently on my fourth reading and I now realize that what has happened is that some of my assumptions were challenged. I didn't like it at first but I had to go back and find where my assumptions were wrong. Overall, this book was eye-opening and harsh. It paints a picture of the War on Terror that feels correct intuitively but it still contains many debatable generalizations and theories.
