Don't buy this -- it is incomplete.,

This recording cuts off the entire Mercury Theater introduction -- jumps into the middle of the recording. It is not a complete version. I'm sorry I wasted not only $.99 but the time it took to download it.

This copy of War of the Worlds is terrible. The audio quality is poor and the version I got was edited!
If I knew that was the case, I wouldn't have purchased this copy.

First off, the program is great, and this inexpensive purchase has the whole 45 minute broadcast. This is the cheapest 45 minute entertainment you'll ever find.
Unfortunately, the quality is not very good. In many parts, you've got to turn the volume up WAY high to hear it. It may be the original broadcast, but this is most definitely not an original recording or master copy.

I have downloaded many times from the EYE place, but this was my first download from Amazon - although the MP3 quality of Wells' legendary radio scare was well worth the cost, the download itself failed several times and I had to contact support to eventually get the file. Not a deal-breaker, but really annoying that it's not as clean and seemless as "the other guys". But that aside, the War of the Worlds was awesome.
